   Went for the cocktail class. It was a fun time and got some great insights into cocktails. Food bites were outstanding. Highly recommend.

   food was really good however I don't feel there were enough wait staff working. The wait for food and drinks were a little long especially considering the price . however once food arrived, it was very good. seemed like our waitress was overwhelmed

   My dining score was a three because I had to put something for the survey, but we did not eat. We’ve been here twice and really enjoy the drinks. We had family and friends in so we came here for a drink before dinner. They were delicious and our server was really friendly and available, and answered all questions about the drinks. We had a great time. We will be back.

   Came for some drinks with friends and had the best time! Definitely the spot to go for creative cocktails and somewhere without all the college kids

   Worst service ever, it took so long to get food and drinks plus they were brought to the table on different timings, some of the people at the table finish their meal while others were still waiting.

   After reading previous reviews, I wanted to give this restaurant a chance because I know that being a small business owner, and especially restaurants, is really tough. It's a lot of hard work and high expectations. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. We were celebrating my son's graduation from Virginia Tech and I hoped it would be a fun evening with great food. I felt bad for the server as she was doing her best in a difficult situation. The drinks were great, but only came after we were sitting for almost 30 minutes. Our food took over an hour, which was fine, but the (cold) soup with chunks of tough lobster came after the main meal for two in our party (cold mac 'n cheese with chunks of tough lobster). 3 others in the party of 5 enjoyed the elk burger, pork 'n beans, and the steak, thankfully, but the steak came out after 4 of us had completed our meals. At the end of the evening, the server did offer us a complimentary dessert and apologized, but by that time we were ready to just wrap it up and declined. Like I said, I wanted to support and like the restaurant, and I understand the high cost of food in a small restaurant, but I was disappointed and I hope things can improve.

   Our deepest apologies for the negative experience that you had the week of xmas! We were completely short staffed bc of holiday vacations , Chef was on medical leave from seizures- a cook was covering her-we did not realize that it was a graduation evening for VT & we got absolutely slammed on a night with a skeleton crew! It got as busy as a Saturday on a Thursday… we literally ran that shift with 3 people-one of which was fired for his performance in the kitchen. I do know that as the owner covering the bartender that night, I personally apologized to every table that had mediocre service and comped food as necessary to try to make up for the incompetence that happened in the kitchen that night. I assure you we normally strive for & attain 5 star service.

   We arrived. Ambiance is super cute. Hostess/server was very nice. Unfortunately on a place that touts an amazing craft cocktail list as well as a bourbon and wine sommelier, there were no blue cheese stuffed olives for a simple vodka martini, and there were only 4 wines on the wine list, of which one was unavailable, and the rest worthy of a hang over. Ordered short rib stuffed skins appetizer but they were out of short rib….and offered chicken instead. Pattern recognition led us to call an audible - so we left and went somewhere else for dinner.

   Owner here…. being out of blue cheese, olives, which we normally carry, doesn’t reflect on our extensive whiskey selection or staffs certifications whatsoever… after owning two craft cocktail bars, the decision was made based on low wine sales to have a modest wine list. When you slam small businesses for OLIVES on reviews but repeatedly forgive huge mistakes from corps like McDonald’s and outback steakhouse…. What are you even doing? You said your service was good and atmosphere was cute. You didn’t even eat so you gave us one star for no olives? rating system 101: rate atmosphere rate service rate food. If two of those things were 4s=very good why give 1 star? If you had expressed your deep disappointment in a pimento olive, I could’ve gave you some blue cheese and told you to stuff it.

   Food was terrible- very slow service (a lot of apologies though- very nice staff- just slow). SO loud for a dinner crowd- music was intense. Menu is terrible and expensive for what you get. Will not go back.

   This is a fun, funky place. The drinks were amazing and the food is really good. It was a little loud, and I know I’m showing my age when I write it. I’d go here again in a heartbeat.

    Went for the cocktails, left after one. They're just trying to hard. Anne $14 for two steamed buns is crazy.
