The service is very polished and atmosphere hip but not super noisy and tables are spaced comfortably apart. Appetizers were disappointing. My shrimp were rubbery, overly acidic with lime juice and salty. The Pulpo was adequate but looked nothing like the picture online, which led me to believe the Pulpo would be enhanced with vegetables. My main course, the short rib, was a very generous portion. The menu indicated sides of bean puree, pickled vegetables, and brussel sprouts. There were 2 sprouts cut in half on the plate and 1 pickled vegetable that tasted like a slice of red pepper. Be forewarned that wine pours are skimpy and margaritas start at $25 a drink while call-your-own margaritas are $35 a drink. Overall, I am undecided if I would return again . Even though the restaurant is just blocks from my home and I would love to frequent it, I remain unsure.

The food was phenomenally delicious. I wish I had dinner more times there. So I could try everything on the menu. The Pulpo Enamorado was full of flavor. The Costillas de Res were tender. & the dessert was my favorite, the Limón y Miel was everything I could imagine and more. Craving the food as I’m writing this. Will definitely be back to Chicago just for Tzuco ❤️

My experience was great! This is my second time in tzuco. The first time that I was here was in 2022, the food taste exactly the same, as it did 3 years ago, the flavors and the quality of the food are amazing. Service was phenomenal.

Overall great place, service and atmosphere is decent. However selling a chicken with truffle at $32 without truffle? And when asked to the service where the truffle is, the answer is “the chef doesn’t want to come”. Great but sour note at the end.

Alright. Here we go. First off, the dining room is stunning. Great vibe! Our server was top notch. However, the food was very disappointing. We ordered the hamachi ceviche. I love hamachi. I love ceviche. This was not it! The French onion soup was also not good. On top of the food being bad, it’s way over priced. We eat at all of the finest restaurants in Chicago and do not hesitate to pay top dollar for top quality food. This however was not worth the cost. We were looking forward to this place as I had heard great things, and we had high expectations. To top this off, it was my wife’s birthday, and we made a reservation a week prior, yet still, they did not have a table in the dining room for us and sat us in the high tops at the bar. We were so disappointed with the food that we left without ordering our main course. I do believe this restaurant has a great chef and a great reputation, maybe we just caught them on a bad night. But still, cut up the hamachi in the ceviche! Haha
