   We had a lovely dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary. The service was good and on a Tuesday night the restaurant was very slow. I’ve been to the foxboro location a number of times and always give 5 stars for a creative and delicious menu. I wasn’t as impressed with the Taunton menu. We shared the crispy Brussels sprouts, bison chili, Caesar salad, and wings. The Brussels were the highlight. They were crispy and delicious. There were very few gluten free options and tons of fried food.

   It was our first time at Union Straw, but it will not be my last. Cozy comfortable atmosphere. The staff was excellent. The gentleman who waited on us was very knowledgeable about their menu. We truly enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent. I am looking forward to trying other menu selections. I had the bourbon porkchops 🔥

   This was our first time to Union Straw and we will certainly be back! The service was great! Our waitress knew the menu well and helped give good recommendations. The food came out quickly and had nice presentation. The food was fantastic! I had the beef stroganoff and the flavor was just perfect. The fresh pasta makes and mushrooms give the dish good texture. My husband had the chicken and waffles, and as a southerner he has discerning palette when it comes to this dish. He said it was incredible and some of the best he’s ever had. Truly high praise. Our friends had been to the restaurant that was in this location before and didn’t have a good experience. They were so glad to know it’s a different restaurant since January 2024. So don’t be confused as they booth had union in the title, but you should absolutely come eat here. We will absolutely be back!

   This was a first time visit for my wife and I, and we left knowing we definitely will come back again! The location has a parking lot next to it, so it was easy in and out. The inside was stylishly decorated and the lighting was warm and welcoming. Our server did a great job describing one of the drinks my wife asked about as well as sealing my decision to try the pork chop for dinner. We started off with Parmesan pretzel bites for an appetizer. There were not only more bites in the appetizer than I expected, but the marinara sauce was a flavor I would not have expected to be paired with it but was almost as good as the Dijon sour cream. However, I was not prepared for just how good the Maple Bourbon glazed pork chop was! It is absolutely the best pork chop I’ve ever had and this should be marked as the restaurant’s specialty. Except I haven’t tried anything else yet from here so maybe the other dishes are even better? Pairing the chop with sweet potato fries and a small salad was perfect, since that maple bourbon glaze tasted good with everything! We topped our dinner off sharing a strawberry shortcake dessert, and though I was thoroughly full, I regret nothing! Oh and don’t forget to try their maple pecan espresso martini. It may taste like a dessert, but that won’t stop you from having more than one!

    Our favorite restaurant in the area. The Veggie Stir Fry was delicious, and the Crab Rangoon Flatbread has long been my go-to. An always changing craft beer selection never disappoints. Great service as always by Parker. We'll be back soon.
