Up Cellar is a modern steakhouse, wine bar and cocktail lounge offering an elevated dining experience.

Our culinary team is committed to sourcing as locally as possible, highlighting the very best purveyors and farms in our regional. The dinner menu features dry-aged and American waygu steak, seafood and select proteins from Indiana farms.

    The 14 oz Ny strip was very salty. It was not rated and wondered why. Definitely not prime. For $56 it was not worth climbing the very long stairs to the dining room.

    It was our first time trying out Up Cellar. The steak was absolutely delicious. We also really enjoyed the deviled eggs. Our server was top notch. They treated us so well there. Highly recommend.

    So my wife and I ate here for the first time in February and were very impressed. That being said, we took my Mother with us for a special occasion on April 4th and had a totally different experience. When we were there in February, the steaks came with a side of potatoes. Very nice! That is something that most upscale steakhouses don't offer. NOW, we learned, everything is ala carte. "We just changed that sir, there are no sides with your entree now." I ordered the ribeye as I did last time. This time, it was not a good cut at all and had no lip cap. You would think paying 60 bucks for an ala carte steak that it would at least be a cut with a lip cap, and that the quality would be Prime. Not even close. In addition, the first 3 wines that I ordered off of their wine list they were "out of it". What? All in all Up Cellar, do you want to be an upscale steakhouse or do you just want to charge prices like an upscale steakhouse and cheap out on everything else? For our $380 for 3 people (and only 1 bottle of $52 wine), I can get A LOT more bang for my buck at real upscale steakhouses. As residents of Bargersville, it upsets me to say that we won't be returning now.

    Thank you for the feedback. In February, the ribeye was $67 with pommes purée. Based on guest requests for different side, we lowered it to $60 and now offer eight shareable sides so guests can choose what they prefer. Our ribeye is always a center cut—thicker and leaner, without the lip cap—as most guests prefer less fat. Both visits featured steaks from the same purveyor. We focus on small-production wines, some of which are limited to just a few cases in Indiana, so availability can vary. That said, our by-the-glass list is updated weekly and rarely out of stock. Our goal is to offer upscale quality and value in a small-town setting.     We had a wonderful server. Loved the ambiance. Food was delicious. It is just a little pricey with everything be al a carte. But overall great experience!

    I had the Pork Chop with a glass of the Albert Bichot Pinot Noir, my handsome date had the Ribeye. We shared a crab cake and the crispy sprouts. We also shared the no flour chocolate tart. Our entrees came out so fresh and hot, the meats were tender and cooked to perfection despite being thick. The tart was amazing. The atmosphere was easy, smart casual and not at all uppity. We enjoyed the jazzy mix of tunes, too. Our server was Keytin and his recommendations were spot on. We’ll be going back 😁
