Unfortunately, they did not inform us of a private event at the actual restaurant and instead we had to sit in a very loud lounge area where we could barely hold conversation. Service was sub par, as we had to constantly call the staff over to remind them of items such as glassware, menus, etc.

We went for Saturday brunch around 1 pm for our 6 year anniversary. My husband had the soul food plate. He enjoyed the chicken, oxtail, grits, and greens. The cornbread was off and yams were soooo sweet. I had the vegan fried rice and it was decent. There weren’t too many patrons around this time so parking was easy. The music was a vibe and not too loud

Upper Kirby Bistro and the cigar lounge, were recommended by a close friend, and despite my tablemates being from Houston, last night was our first time there. Making RSVP was easy and while we were running late, they were very accommodating, allowing me to change RSVP to later time. That said, we really enjoyed the food (the Creole Salmon was 🔥.) And will be back. Soon.

Not a good experience. Was disappointed had to send my food and my guest food back for almost the same reasons. 1. Collard greens was horrible lacked seasoning and needed to be cooked more. 2. Lobster Mac and cheese tasted like something out of a box was so disappointed (I wanted to like this so bad). My guest had the same opinion on the collard greens. 3. Had dirty rice that taste nothing like dirty rice more like a spoiled boudin rice. PROS: The good thing was service was great! Very attentive and had no problem with exchanging our food. Peach tea was great and per usual the fried chicken was really good. I really like this restaurant they just need work on their sides. Really disappointed this was a bday lunch that didn’t go well!

Absolutely awesome! The food is so darn good. Even the house salad was delicious! I’m going today and this will be my third time in three days. They have a great Houston Restaurant menu! Love the Coconut Curry Wings and the Sin City Egg rolls. Heck, I loved everything!! Tiarra and Mercy were excellent!!

I would not have gone if i knew they were not honoring the HRW menu on weekends. Service was poor and slow. Our appetizer arrived with our entree. It was so loud we could barely hear each other. We didn't bother ordering dessert. The only good thing i can say is that the fried pork chop was tasty.
