Upstairs at Landrace is a casual neighbourhood bar & bistro, our food is led by ingredients which are carefully sourced from local farms and market gardens, we work with producers who have a natural approach to growing and use regenerative, high welfare farming techniques. The menu regularly features handmade pasta, line-caught Cornish fish and meat from Haye Farm in Devon, and Huntsham Farm in Herefordshire.
You can join us for a quick plate of pasta at lunchtime or a longer celebratory meal with friends & family in the evening. Our menu changes regularly, you can find sample menus updated weekly on our website.

The wine/cider list changes regularly, focusing on small European growers and makers. All our wines have been made following low intervention organic/biodynamic practices. We also pour many local naturally made ciders and perrys. Our soft drinks are made in house showcasing seasonal cordials, and aperitif/digestif offerings can bookend your meal if desired.

    Really lovely evening here. Great friendly attentive service. The cheese curd fritters and bruschetta were great sharing starters. Both pasta dishes delicious and enough for 3 of us.

    One of the most exquisite meals we have ever eaten. Simply stunning food. My preferences were listened too and catered for. The atmosphere was brilliant, with such attentive staff. Shout out to the chef Emma, and our waitress Hetty.

    Came for Saturday lunch. Was greeted by their friendly staff and was well looked after throughout our meal. They were as happy to be there as we were, and were excited to share their knowledge of the menu. The menu was obviously seasonal and very nicely put together. There were two of us so we ordered a couple of snacks, two small plates and shared a main, which left room for dessert. Everything was superb. Very well executed and looked amazing. The small plates were actually quite generous, with the main ingredient actually being celebrated on each plate, rather than just including a token amount. With a couple of cocktails and glasses of wine, the bill was at the top end of our budget, but for a special meal, this place was well worth it. We were recommended to come by a friend in London and decided to visit on our next trip to Bath. Very glad we did.

    Our first visit to Landrace - but not our last! Beautiful freshly cooked food and excellent service. We had a deadline and the staff were so helpful in ensuring we met it. Thank you 😃

    First visit, and I was very excited. Mentioned in the reservation that it was my wife’s Birthday. The night went without any acknowledgment of that. Butter was spilled on my pants, things happen, but no compensation offered. Meal seemed rushed. Just an “ok” night.

    Lovely lovely meal and service and food and ambiance. Only hiccup was very slow cocktails that arrived after a few courses rather than at the start of the meal. Went downstairs to the bakery the next for breakfast and was also delighted. 10/10 would recommend.
