Inspired by the rich history of Pier 38, Upstairs at Pier 38 is a place to gather that encompasses locally caught seafood, sourced by the renowned Honolulu Fish Auction, featuring USDA Prime Steak. Our Culinary Team adds their own creativity to the menu by collaborating with Chef Nico Chaize, to create island cuisine using rustic French techniques.

Experience our cozy lounge setting inspired by a “home away from home.” Smokey wood accents with high industrial ceilings, glowing lights, and a majestic copper bar will allow our guests to unwind with ease. Seating in the dining room is spacious and perfect for large parties or an intimate date night.

We are happy to offer a contemporary wine list with old-world treats, locally crafted beers, and captivating one-of-a-kind cocktails. Our team prefers reservations; however, walk-ins are always welcome!

The price is $75 per person, and $32 for children 12 and under. For adults, we're also offering Bottomless Mimosas for $25 per person. We hope to see you and your family there!

    Always an awesome experience! I had to call to indicate that two of the three couples were going to be late, and discussed if we should adjust our reservation. The hostess was quite accommodating and said she’d change the reservation , but it was quite early that it wouñd still be easy to get a a great table when everyone had arrived. Lovely meal indeed! All three couples got the Misoyaki Chilean Sea Bass with it´s Miso Caramel’ and it is definitely a 5 star do over!!!!

    Mid-week Maritime Hour is an excellent way to unwind after a day. The pupus and cocktails are excellent, and service attentive and friendly, and a good value for some fancy nibbles. The octopus is amazing!

    We had a lovely evening at Upstairs at Pier 38. The service was outstanding and the ambiance is perfect for a relaxed, upscale evening. The baked brie was a delicious start, though the lobster bisque was more broth than lobster. Our entrées didn’t quite hit the mark—the sea bass lacked texture, and the sirloin wasn’t as tender as hoped. The combination of flavors on the plate (saffron rice, chimichurri, tomato-garlic compote) felt a bit confused. Lemon sorbet was light and refreshing, and the limoncello ended the night on a high note. Overall, a great atmosphere and service experience with food that’s close, but not quite aligned with the elevated price point.

    Great Location, Lacking Atmosphere The venue itself is fantastic, and the location is great, but the ambiance falls flat. The music feels outdated—like the ’90s called and want their playlist back. A more upbeat and modern selection could do wonders in making the environment livelier. Additionally, the place had more staff than customers, which made it feel a bit off. With some improvements to the atmosphere and energy, this spot could be a real gem.
