   We love this place! But ended up leaving since we had a baby in the group and they didn’t seat us where minors are allowed.

   We were there to meet with my (grown) daughter' and her new boyfriend. We arrived a little early for our reservation and were seated right away, which was quite nice. The noise level, however, made it difficult to hear the conversation at the table, and the lack of light had all of us (yes, even the young ones!) reaching for our cell phones to read the menu, which was fairly lacking in originality. After a lengthy decision all around, we had a "small plate" of Seared Ahi, shared by the table, which was quite good. For main course, there were two orders of Top Sirloin, one order of New York Strip, and one Jalisco Chicken Pasta at the table, all of which were good, but not outstanding. With four drinks, our total came to about $250. After dinner and after paying the bill, we lingered to finish our conversations. The host/waiter came over and let us know that we needed to leave, as the reservation after ours was there and ready to be seated. I understand the need to rotate tables, but this resulted in an uncomfortable feeling overshadowing the entire evening.

   There are three separate areas: by the front door, a beautiful fireplace with seating for 4 on couch-like seating (great, but people passing by entering and leaving), a central area across from the bar which is pretty loud, and a small, quiet room in the rear, your choice. Food, drinks and dessert are above average and rotate. Sea bass tacos, Cajun prawns are great! They also do beef well.

   We went to Vault 244 Bistro to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. It was new to us and when we came in the front door we were impressed by the cozy romantic atmosphere and warm fireplace. Sadly we were led into another room which was cold and our table had a sticky finish that made our glasses stick to it. Our waiter was attentive and congenial. Our drinks were good and my husbands wine was very good. Our starters were ahi tuna (good) and brussel sprouts (under-cooked). Our main course was sea bass with fingerling potatoes and brocollini. The fish was dry, the potatoes under-cooked and the brocollini was good. We had pumpkin cheesecake for dessert and it was great! Overall we probably won't return but if we did we would stay in the front room!

   Was able to reserve a table for two easily online. We were seated promptly. Our drinks and appetizers arrived quickly and were delicious! Their ginger pear martini was excellent. I had the sea bass with potato fingerlings. Fish was tender, not dry. The drizzle was enhancing but did not overwhelm the fish. My friend had the chicken pasta which she savored. The ambiance was cozy and felt special. The prices are definitely on higher end but we were celebrating. (We had 4 drinks, appetizer and two entrees for $145 plus tip). We did enjoy our evening with great service, excellent food and welcoming atmosphere.

    Overall, I had a great time. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, despite the fact that they were short-staffed. Our waitress worked really hard to make sure we had a great experience, so I can’t blame her. I think the management needs to make sure they’re staffing their restaurants properly and paying their employees enough to keep them happy. It’s a bit of a bummer, but I’ve learned to live with it.
