vela kitchen is a go-to in my family for meeting up with friends for dinner. It’s warm, friendly and the food is always sensational. Get the mussels in white wine sauce. You won’t regret it.

Vela Kitchen Pleasantville has become our local "Cheers." Everyone knows our names, the food is consistently yummy, and the experience always fun. Michael and Joanne are the quintessential hosts, always welcoming us with hugs and smiles. We are devoted customers and have told many friends and neighbors to support this wonderul local establishment.

We dined on New Year's Eve. This is normally a very crazy night in a restaurant. Vela Kitchen was jumping but, somehow, Michael and his staff were able to maintain a festive but calm vibe. Our dinner was superb. My wife had the Mariscada and I had the Tuna. Highly recommend this wonderful neighborhood gem. Michael, the owner, is a very experienced restauranteur and it shows in the quality of his operation in Pleasantville, NY.

Another fun experience at Vela Kitchen. So glad they are open on Sundays-a new go-to option for a great meal without cooking ourselves. New menu items like fettuccine dish and upscale fish and chips are spot on. I still crave a colder martini but small quibble.
