About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Fancy
  • Good for business meals
Vernick Fish presents Philadelphia’s own, Chef Greg Vernick’s exploration beyond the boundaries of a seafood restaurant. His ingredient-driven cooking style, paired with a love for global flavors, results in an inventive menu of fish and shellfish dishes, and a range of vegetable preparations. Taking a detailed, seasonal, and sustainable approach with small and large plate offerings, the kitchen brings new life to the favorite hallmarks of American oyster bar fare and raw bar. Complementing the experience are well-crafted cocktails, and a focused wine list of seafood-friendly white and sparkling offerings, as well as light, fresh reds.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Greg Vernick and CDC David Paterniti

From the OpenTable editors: Sleek interiors meet thoughtful service at this celebratory Logan Square seafood spot. James Beard Award-winning chef Greg Vernick walks the line between innovative and nostalgic with dishes like sardines on sourdough toast and grilled scallops that are masterclasses in careful sourcing and precise preparation, but also wipe-your-plate-clean delicious. If you’re toasting to something special, get one of the hard-to-find spirits or wines from the top-notch drinks program.

Food was great but prices were in the stratosphere. Sometimes it’s just not worth it. A glass a wine is over $25 and so are cocktails. Spent $120 with tip on two tiny appetizers and 2 mojitos. It’s in the four seasons hotel so I guess if you pay $2000+ a night for a room you think prices are irrelevant. But…for many people a great meal can be had for a lot less money. Check the menu before you go. Was not impressed with selection. But again, what we had (a crudo and a ceviche) was tremendously flavorful.

We had a wonderful dinner with amazing service. Cory guided us to the beautifully prepared monkfish with seared endive and a sublime butter based sauce. And the key lime pie was fantastic. Definitely a place to visit again.

My yellowtail crudo and shrimp salad were wonderful. The service was cordial but somewhat inattentive. The space is quite appealing.
