My partner and I had an incredible experience at Viaggio for my partner's birthday. She loves pasta, and I knew we were in for a treat, but we could not have expected just how incredible the food was! We have found one of our new favorite spots and will be back soon. On top of that, the service was perfect. Our server was incredibly helpful and made some amazing recommendations on what to choose. My partner and I are both sober, and the mocktails were incredible.

There was a long wait at the door even though we had a reservation, followed by a long wait just to get our drink order in. It’s very noisy inside and difficult to talk. The food was not particularly tasty and very rich. We both felt sick afterwards. The wine selection by the glass is poor. Very overpriced for what you get. I don’t understand why Viaggio is in the Michelin Guide or why it shows up on lists for the best Italian restaurants in Toronto. Lucia, Ascari (Leslieville) or Defina (Roncesvallea) are all head and shoulder above Viaggio in my view. I had been really looking forward to going and I was very disappointed.

I dined at Viaggio a few times a few years ago and raved about it. The food is still really good. Having said that, the pasta was under cooked. I like a la dente but this was extreme. Crunchy Our reservation was for 8pm. We felt we were being rushed out the door. We weren't asked if we wanted coffee or dessert following the meal. They close at 10pm.

This restaurant came highly recommended to us along with the instruction that we should finish with the Tiramisu Pancakes. Everything lived up to the hype. Wonderful dishes and a quaint cozy atmosphere.

We saw the restaurant initially on the TV show you gotta eat here. We were mostly intrigued by the tiramisu pancakes. They did not disappoint. We had the cucumber and melon salad, which was refreshingly different. We shared the mortadella pizza which came without red sauce. We loved it because it was so different from the pizza we always have. Meal ended with the tiramisu pancakes. I suggest you share the salad pizza and pancakes. I was selfish and ordered my own set of pancakes. Although it was spectacular, I had to take more than half of it home because I was so full lol. They have a patio. I was told that in the winter time you have to book at least two weeks in advance. The interior only seats 32 people. Unfortunately, it gets really loud when it’s full.
