We had the most wonderful experience at Whiskey and Seaweed. The staff are kind, attentive, and excellent at their jobs. All of their recommendations for both food and drinks were spot on. We were there early, so it was still quiet in the bar which was nice for us. The snacks and small plates were amazing and a great way to get a taste of what Core has to offer. The fried chicken with roe was spectacular and we were blessed to be there for white truffle season and enjoy a white truffle linguine. Highly recommend and will be back the next time we are in London!

I booked reservations for drinks only. We had dinner reservations at another restaurant and their service went way past what our time slot was. I had them call this restaurant to inform them we were stuck at our dinner, and they still charged us for the other experience going back bet what we had planned. I’m disappointed that the restaurant called to inform them, yet they had the nerve to charge us as a no show that was out of our control.

Our food went to other diners, and was then brought to us. Not sure that’s correct protocol, Michelin or otherwise. Nothing had much flavor as well.

Was really excited to try out a bar attached to a 3 michelin star restaurant. The drinks themselves were good but we were really hoping for something spectacular with bold flavors. The signature whisky and seaweed drink didn't have as much flavor as I would have hoped and even seemed a bit anodyne. They also had an irish coffee on offer and the presentation was really fun in picking parts of the drink, though again, the options selected didn't make a lot of difference in the overall taste which was a bit..."meh." Food was the real letdown...the small bites or "snacks" were relatively affordable but just lacking in much flavor and it felt like more of the money was being spent on the elaborate presentation of the food in bespoke plates/food holders. The small plates I would strongly advise against as they weren't much more food than the small bites but nearly quadruple the price and flavor profiles were similar. The core dessert apple, while super pretty in appearance, was incredibly sweet to the point it was hard to taste the other components of the dessert. I like sweet things but it was just too much. Service was outstanding and I can't fault that whatsoever. The ambiance was also quite good and I loved the decor. I hate having to write a not-so-positive review but I was extremely excited reading the near perfect reviews and wanted to add my own thoughts.

Exquisitely executed cocktail service with small bites. Take a step into the main restaurantCORE, to be greeted by an open kitchen with Clare and her team in action.

Whiskey & Seaweed was a delight. The space is intimate with beautiful service and friendly staff. We had drinks and small bites over the course of several hours, but the time flew by. In the next room, we could see the Chef's Table. My favorite cocktail was the Genius, and we loved the small bites: fried chicken and tomato grougere. Those bites alone made us want to book dinner at Core. We finished the night with smokey whiskeys and espresso. What a beautiful evening.
