When You can buy and grill HEB Prime filet or pay 65 bucks for the gristly meat here why eat out? Driftwood is Country and folks know HEB meat. The flounder was tasteless. Come on can you season the fish? Sides are on point. Bring some spoons. Dunno probably will try again. Nice Wine list,

We’ve been three times so far . Heath was our wait person this time; attentive, personable, knowledgeable. He made our experience enjoyable! Walking in the door and being greeted by hostesses like Jesse, Lucy, and Cassie sets the stage for a great evening. They, too, greet you with a warm smile, ready to assist you. The chicken fried ribeye is a treat. My wife and I shared it. The last two times I couldn’t pass up the “Trouble Trouble Wagyu Burger”. The first time we shared one, not the second time.. :) They have a pretty cool bar, too, with cool bartenders! There are a myriad of drink selections; assortments of wine, beer, spirits. I’m fond of the smoked Old Fashioned, but I’ve GOT to try their frozen one next time! I suggest getting out in front and making reservations days ahead since it’s growing in popularity. If you can’t tell, we really like the place.

The gumbo was excellent. Really enjoyed the chicken fried chicken , the mashed potatoes were a little different , almost as if they put a little lemon juice in them , but still good. The flounder was a nice sized piece , very tasty. Will definitely come back amd try again.

Upon being seated we waited for nearly 15 minutes before a server checked in. BUT after that everything got exceeded expectations. Our server was Sharkey- she was wonderful. We don’t blame her for the stumble in the beginning (I don’t think her shift started until after we arrived). Everything we had was dynamite. The Mac n chz, the coleslaw!, bacon wrapped shrimp, and saugeed flounder, all really good. It is pricey, but also very tasty and great selection of food and drink. We’ll be back.

Very good food and service. We had the prime rib special that was for at least 3 to 4 people and it was the best I have had. We had a group of 8 (which included 3 small children) and the server did an excellent job. It is a more expensive menu but worth it when you want a special experience. Portion sizes are very good. It does get loud inside and can be difficult to hear someone who is not seated next to you. You will most likely need reservations for a group of people.

This was our 2nd reservation. The dining room/facility are beautiful. The service was exceptional. The food was just ok. Shoe-string fries when you've got the best fries in 5 counties right across the street? The ambient noise level during peak dining times is too loud to have a conversation with your dinner companion. We're disappointed given that the restaurant is just 2 miles from the house. Good Luck to you...
