About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Great for brunch
  • Neighborhood gem
At Whistle Britches, we’re all about chicken. In 2016, Chef Omar Flores had one thing in mind – serve the tastiest, juiciest and crunchiest bird in town. Our pickle brined bird, farm-fresh ingredients and soulful cooking will leave you wanting more. We believe comfort food never goes out of style. Our scratch kitchen is always baking fresh buttermilk biscuits and some of the best chicken sandwiches in town. Couple all that with a great local craft beer selection and inventive cocktails, you soon realize why we came up with the name Whistle Britches. We like to draw a lot of attention to ourselves, and we’re ok with that! So if you haven’t stopped in yet, what are you waiting for?

Sadly they changed their menu for the worse - poor choices in removing their Nashville hot chicken hot sauce caddy, lower quality mac n cheese, and gas station level coffee and creamer - too bad we used to love it but won't go back again :(

Enjoyed ladies brunch at Whistle Britches today. We arrived to a fully packed restaurant, but were warmly greeted by the hostesses who sat us promptly. Our server was wonderful and answered all of our questions about the cocktails and menu items. She kept our waters full and the table well maintained. We started off with the deviled eggs, which were pretty bland, but a nice, light way to start the meal and then enjoyed their Chicken & Waffles and classic Chicken Fried Steak with gravy (Country Breakfast). Both were absolutely delicious. The restaurant was very well kept, classic and clean. The noise levels were fairly moderate considering how busy the venue was; so it didn’t disturb or conversation and we were grateful to not have the hassle of hearing other conversations at the tables surrounding us. We had a great time and definitely plan to come back. Thank you!!

Always enjoy being here - staff is friendly and efficient, without being overbearing. Were bummed to see some menu changes - esp the departure of the eggs benedict with pimento cheese and tenders!! But enjoyed my Mother Clucker and my friend built her own brunch and enjoyed it just as much.

We know our pancakes and we hate say that they were not up to standard. The recipe needs to be tweaked to create more flavor and not so bland and rubbery. This is the reason we gave 3 stars.
