   I took my mom for a birthday lunch and the service was excellent. Our server was absolutely wonderful! We love this place!

   We had the buffet and it was fine. To be fair, food off a Buffett is never as tasty as ordering off the menu.

   We love this restaurant. But this visit was disappointing. We were there for the breakfast buffet. When we arrived, the chafing dishes were out. So the food was lukewarm, low, and unattended. This made the food, which is usually great, just so-so. It may have been just a bad day for them.

   We had a group of 9 adults and 2 small children for a birthday lunch celebration. The service was THE BEST! Everyone’s food was delicious and perfectly prepared. We are SO thankful that we have The Whistle Stop/Monon Connection in our community!!

   The perch was dry and sweet potato looked liked it was reheated multiple times. My grandson's french fries looked like the bottom of the basket. The cook should not let plates like that out of their kitchen. We definitely should have sent that food back. On a good note, our waitress was attentive.

    I got the Best Burger Ever and it was great! Even though the museum was closed by the time we got there for our reservation, there was still a train car we could walk through and lots of other trains to look at. It was really busy when we went on a Sunday afternoon. I can understand that because it is a great attraction that drew us in too!
