White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. The menu includes several White Dog staples, such as Kennett Square Mushroom Soup, Double Cheddar Burger, Lamb Bolognese, Truffle Fries, and house-made bread baskets from local farms, alongside new additions.

    I ordered the Kennett Square omelet, but the eggs were flat and fairly dry and it was room temp. Very disappointed. Our server Tessa was very good, regardless.

    Excellent food - highly recommend the filet with broccolini or the flounder piccata with crab orzo. Nice ambiance with music, dim lights, and love all the dog decor. Suggestion for bread basket - provide smaller size (2, 4, 6 people, etc)

    We've happily returned to the Dog again and again. Food is reliably very good, interesting selection, and decent wine list by the glass. Today our server was Beth L, she was very personable, gave us just enough attention and knew the menu so she could give good suggestions. Well done Dog, we'll be back.

    My two daughters and I had a patio table but the cold weather led us indoors. Our hostess seamlessly located a much cozier indoor booth where we enjoyed an awesome dinner by the swag fireplace. It was busy but our server Chris offered exceptional personal service. Food was great! We’ll be back for sure!

    The server seemed rushed and never asked about our food until we were finished. The $55 steak was raw in the middle and was left half on the plate. The shrimp and scallop dish was extremely salty and I love salt. We had to ask to refresh our waters twice. The atmosphere was beautiful but they need to do better with service and the kitchen as it did not meet expectations.
