About this restaurant

  • Romantic
  • Good for special occasions
  • Great for brunch
Established in 1952, the William Tell Restaurant quickly became a landmark place to dine in the Western Suburbs. We were renown for our elegant dining room, old world charm and European style menu. In 2005, the restaurant was completely remodeled and the menus totally redone. Now the new William Tell still maintains the flavor of its old world charm, but offers a slightly more casual elegance. With the new menu, our customers will find a mixture of old masterpieces and some new classic and modern offerings. As always, great hospitality, superb cuisine and wonderful ambience will insure that you have a fantastic dining experience here at the William Tell.

Food was good and a lot for the value. However our food was not prepared the way we had ordered. They had a seafood buffet, wish I would have had that instead. Nice romantic type atmopshere.

Very dissatisfied. They advertise king crab legs but have small regular ones out and you have to ask for the king ones. Carving station is unattended and you have to wait a long time before a worker shows up. Food was cold and average at best. Would not recommend to anyone. Way overpriced at 40 dollars per person and falsely advertised.

The Sunday brunch buffet is outstanding! Excellent food, mimosas, and top notch service. Will gladly go back.

We were celebrating my parents 60th wedding anniversary. We arrived and there was no wait, our table was ready. It was NYE, so complimentary champagne. The waitress was AMAZING. We had my two great nephews - ages 2 and 4 and she bent over backwards to keep them happy as well as the rest of us. The food was wonderful, the ambiance beautiful - especially the pianist playing requests.

My family, friends and I love William Tell's Sunday brunch. Not only does the food taste great, but there is a variety to select from. The king crab legs are huge and delicious - wish they were warm, but they are still tasty. The unlimited Mimosas are definitely on point and you never have to look for a refill, the server definitely keeps your glass full. While you enjoy your meal, there is a pianist playing. The hostess/staff are all very warm and welcoming. William Tell is great for all occasions!

We were a party of 8 on Saturday December 23. We were seated, I believe, in the lounge where the bar is. The meal was by far the worst I have had in years in any place in any location. My expensive Delmonico steak was old and badly cooked. The others at the table universally reported terrible food. I have, in the past, had buffets there that have been very good. BUT, this was a meal unworthy of any reputable restaurant.
