   Woolwich Pier Hotel serves delicious food and the ambience is great. The hotel is in a beautiful heritage building that has been tastefully renovated. It caters for everyone from couples, families, parties and large gatherings. There is a lift between floors and a second bar upstairs. The staff are very friendly and the service is great.

   Booked a balcony table for 6 seniors celebrating an 80th birthday. No staff around to talk to when we arrived so we went updtairs and found our table. Bar closed, no staff so we ordered using QR code. Again no one to ask about some items on the menu and unable to order drinks via QR code. A lady (manager?) did arrive to talk to us, only because oone of our party didn't order correctly, so she helped with that and offered to take our drinks order and serve from the upstairs bar. It was quite busy and there were several big tabes in upstairs, and se expllained they hadn't expected that so were a bit understaffed. However the young female staff member who delivered our food was very unhelpful and was unable to answer questions about the food and just told us togo downstairs to get drinks. The food was OK, nothing special. But the stress levels involved with the ordering process and lack of staff at the bar spoilt what should have been a nice lunch out. Won't be back.

   Lovely spot, a favourite. Great food, lovely staff and they even went around checking music volume, so we got to. Have it turned down to suit us. Love being able to talk and not have to shout

   Selected upstairs at time of making reservation but was seated outside. Outside seating had no service staff or QR codes - food and drinks had to be ordered inside from the bar.

   Overall pleasant and enjoyable. However, note to the chef, your previous meat pie, baked with a whole crust was much better than the current version, in a dish. Some greens on the side would be welcome. The chips were excellent. The coconut panacotta had very little coconut flavour. The StickyDate Pudding was very good, also Basque cheesecake.

   We go there weekly for trivia and each week the food is getting worse, portions are smaller, and last week my pasta was cold and the tomato and cucumbers in the poke bowl tasted like it was a day old and slimy. Now our group is getting smaller as no one wants to eat there anymore and we are looking at different pubs for trivia night. The weekly special has been the same for over 3 months, such a same as it’s a great venue as it’s convenient for most and has a excellent trivia host

    I had a schnitzel; one of the best I have ever had anywhere. It did not need sauce. Also had some of wife's fish (she was full) and it was great. Staff were great; friendly and courteous.
