Wait staff not trained well. Food was just ok. Venue is beautiful but very loud. Not what I expected from Voltaggio

We went for a friends anniversary. 4 people. Went early. Had a cocktail. The restaurant is beautiful.!! Got sat right on time. Our waitress was amazing! A couple glitches. Nothing major. Overall was an amazing experience. Dessert was great too! Our friends company made the whole evening so much fun!

We have been dining at Bryan Voltaggio’s restaurants since he opened VOLT. Wye Oak Tavern did not disappoint. The food , wine and the service were all outstanding. We shared the chopped salad, which was more like a wedge salad. My husband loved the prime rib, creamed spinach, and, yes, the popovers. And I devoured the burger which was amazing. Definitely plan to return!

We had an amazing meal at Wye Oak last night. Food was amazing as was the service. We heard others talk about the noise so we requested a table away from the bar. Our server Casey was awesome and Stephen the sommelier chose the perfect wine to accompany our meal. We had crab cake appetizer. The prime rib and dry aged ribeye. The best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had and the young broccoli. Apple dumpling and chocolate chip cooking finished off the meal. We will definitely be back…

Good and service were excellent. 2 guests have celiac and 1 has a dairy allergy so it was difficult to order b/c the menu is not marked for food allergies.

The only negative of our visit was that our entrees took almost 45 minutes to arrive after our appetizer plates were cleared. Absolutely worth the wait though. Wonderful dining experience in a beautiful space.

My wife and I had an absolutely delicious dinner at Wye Oak -- and not just delicious but fun! The restaurant staff was wonderful, and a major part of our enjoyment of the experience: the charismatic sommelier, Steven, gave us a fantastic wine recommendation; Giovanni helped us navigate the many appetizing menu options with great charm; Stephanie, our server, was cheerful, friendly, and attentive; Charlotte, the smiling and efficient floor manager, managed our experience with precision. Everyone did everything they could to insure our evening was excellent....and it was! My wife had the pot roast, perhaps the best pot roast ever conceived and prepared, and I had a perfectly prepared filet, accompanied by the excellent Alto Moncayo priorat. The setting was beautiful, the service warm, enthusiastic and efficient, and the food spectacular. We look forward to returning!

I would not dine here again. The restaurant itself is interesting. The menu is limited and overpriced. Our entrees were satisfactory, but nothing more. My biggest complaints are that the staff did not ask about allergies. (My dining partner has some.). Also, servers were trying to clear our plates while we were still eating (with forks in our hands). It seemed like they were trying to push us out quickly as there were dozens of patrons waiting for tables.

As other reviewers mentioned, the noise level is terrible. There were four of us at a table, and we literally had to shout at each other to be heard. The starters and appetizers were good, but our steaks were served with a cold and dry pop over and the steaks themselves were not flavorful. The creamed spinach was just sautéed spinach - not a bit of cream. We asked the waitress about it and she said it’s made with tofu (??!!). I understand the restaurant has only been open for a couple of weeks, so we’re looking forward to improvements. Service by Allison was friendly and efficient.
