Ye Olde Punchbowl Inn is certainly Ye Olde, even by the standards of British country pubs. The building has been there for at least 700 years – nobody knows exactly how long it has stood on what is now Ludlow Road – and has been a pub since 1740, serving the traveller, the public of Bridgnorth and all others who entered their doors. The menu now is classically British, with a full AGA carvery, a gastro menu and a full wine list that takes in the best of local ingredients. Reserve a table and gather up your whole crew for a meal that has stood the test of time.

Please note we welcome outdoor dining when our gardens are available. We guarantee the use of our gardens on Sunday to everybody. If we have an event on such as a wedding, these clients have paid exclusivity for this and you will be denied access should an event take place the day you intend to visit us. Any online reservations made all tables are assigned inside the venue, if you have a specific table or area you would like to sit, please ring direct, we cannot guarantee which table you will be assigned online as it is done automatically. If you have specific allergies that require attention in advance please ring and ask for our chefs who will be more than happy to discuss bespoke dishes with 72 hours notice. For private events, large parties, weddings, wakes, black tie dinner events, themed entertainment nights or any corporate event you must ring an events manager direct if any party exceeds 8 people. Our main function room can capacitate up to 200 people and has its own internal bar, private entrance and benefits exclusive private gardens with a large terrace, outdoor space and finally with a fully functional state of the art outdoor bar! During Covid-19 we must book all guests for HSE requirements for track and trace during this pandemic. We respectfully ask all guests adhere to our policies to create a safe dining experience for everyone and safe guarding our staff is very important to us as a company. SUNDAY SERVICE TABLE ALLOCATION The only day we use our large banqueting room is on Sunday lunchtimes if you would prefer to sit in a certain room you must book these time slots 12noon | 2pm | 4pm Bookings in OLD RESTAURANT AREA 1pm | 3pm Bookings in BANQUETING LARGE ROOM

Three waiters/waitresses just stood chatting whilst we waited to be shown to table. Server of meat miserable and unapproachable. No sprouts which is a shame as near Christmas. Got to table and food was cold. Wine spritzer had no fizz, ie lemonade flat. Crumble too hard and lumpy to eat. Should have complained at time but with friends and didn’t want to spoil our day. So disappointed as come every year for meal. We will not come again. On a good note one waitress was very smiley and chatty sorry uni name

We love coming here for our Sunday lunch as everything is Cooked well. There is just one negative the cabbage and broccoli were hard. The staff are wonderful very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is very cosy that’s why we like to have our lunch in the bar area because the big room the atmosphere is a little …cold

Always a good experience at the punchbowl. Carvery food is always better earlier in the afternoon, but still the best in the area. x

Took my better half to the Punbowl Inn at Bridgnorth , for a Sunday Carvery lunch date. From the moment we were welcomed upon arrival, shown to our table by a friendly member of staff who then took our drinks order, we went up to the carvery and were both absolutely impressed by the selection of meats and vegetables available. The lamb,beef and turkey were cooked to perfection, as were the vegetables. We got back to our seats and our drinks we served . All in all a really pleasant dining experience. This is a must go to place to dine. Thank you folks for looking after my wife and I. We will definitely return soon. Five stars out of five all round.

They were very busy with a coach party and seemed slightly under staffed for the day. But all the staff on duty were excellent, friendly and courteous. There is always an excellent choice of food at the carvery and it's excellent value for money. The puddings are great.

I love the fact that the staff remember you and offer a genuine welcome every time you return. The place was beautifully decorated for the pending Christmas Season and I was particularly taken by the new Christmas Cushions. We even had a chuckle with staff over whether I could get away with taking one home under my jumper! Keep up the good work and The Punch Bowl is definitely our go to place when we have friends staying as well as for other special occasions. Matthew Stafford
