   This was our second visit for Sunday brunch and it was just as amazing as the first time. Our server Danny was the very good and attentive. The brunch menu is full of surprises such as escargot which was the best any of us had ever had - that included all 5 people at our table that ordered it. The historic building added to the whole experience but the main draw is the amazing food.

   Zandberg Tavern is a lovely restaurant and definitely one of our favorites. We are happy to drive the 30 minutes from Boerne to eat there. The food is excellent. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is equally as lovely. Highly recommend.

   Our party of five tried a variety of appetizers, cocktails, entrees, and desserts. Every item was delicious, and the outdoor seating was beautiful. We highly recommend it!

   we had made reservations and requested an outdoor table. When we arrived we were told all the outdoor tables were reserved and we were seated next to the front door. After several discussions with the front desk one of the owners came to our table and offered to move us. There was only one couple dining inside and just a few outside. We were seated at a different table inside. We noted that there was one empty table outside the whole time we were there. I ordered a drink from the menu and later was told that it was not available. I ordered a Croque Madam and told they only had one left and didn't know if it was available. It turned out it was. After a long wait three of the meals were brought to the table but not the fourth, the Croque Madam. After about 10 minutes the final meal was delivered. This was our second time at the tavern and were were very pleased with our first experience so we were especially disappointed with this visit and will not be returning. The bright spots were three of the four meals were very good and the young lady who was our server was excellent.

   Best small boutique restaurant in the area! Great bar with many mixed drinks as well as some nice wines. Menu is not elaborate, but everything is done very well! Menu changes with the seasons as well. Highly recommended one of the best in the hill country

    Always a great experience with both food and ambiance…I love that it is a very mature ambiance so music is classy and low level and the building is beautiful and adds to the overall enjoyable experience.
