   Ambiance and views are on point but unfortunately the service for a restaurant as such in this area, missed the points! First, glad they were able to seat us 30mins prior to our reservation time. We were seated in the patio area which was lovely - hoping for true waterfront views but honestly any seating captures the essence outdoor dining you’re hoping for. Now for service! Granted it was Mother’s Day but it actually wasn’t busy. It was more apparent that the staffing wasn’t cohesive and was flustered to keep up. We weren’t greeted right away. We can already tell it was gonna be awhile to get things so we ordered our food together with drinks. We got our appetizer before drinks. Water also came after app and drinks. Second app/brussel sprouts also came after our meal. We all ordered the steak frites which was great except a good amount of fries were soggy from the oils. Having kids, they asked for ranch with their fries. I’d think ranch is a common request but this is really what turned my whole experience. Yes for ranch! Lol. When the bill came, I appreciate that the waiter asked to take a look before he swiped my card and there I saw that the two ranch we asked for was $2 each - $2 each! If it was ranch to brag about (wing stop ranch ranks the top lol), maybe it woulda be ok. But their ranch was a milky bitter dressing with no flavor, not good at all. And to charge $2 for about 2oz containers without telling guests, absurd! I reasoned with the waiter that, we weren’t told it’s a charge and he can clearly see it wasn’t even touched. Bless his heart for finding a reason but said, everything is expensive these days. Umm yeah I know - I’m a patron at your restaurant giving you business to celebrate my day on Mother’s Day and I also know wanting a nice meal is gonna cost me. But between the lack of service and the charge for $2 ranch I wasn’t made aware, restaurants like Zinque need to do better and not pull the “everything is expensive” so you have to pay it customer

   The host today was absolutely terrible. We made a reservation via open table and he wouldn’t let us wait for a table outside. He placed us inside next to a VERY loud speaker. When I told him it was too loud he said “what I can’t hear you” which was ironic… I told him it was too loud and asked if we could move somewhere else inside. He said no but he’d turn down the music. A couple next to us thanked us for saying something, saying they too said it was too loud. Eventually he said he’d try to get us somewhere outside. He came back 1 minute later saying he’d made room for us. Funny enough there were three open tables when he sat us outside and they remained open for almost 15mins after we had been seated. Why I ask was it so impossible for us to sit outside right away? I have to say the hosts here has be always acted too cool for school. The good news is our waitress was lovely, our food was great but I have to say, we almost left after the negative host experience. Do better Zinqur management at finding warmer hosts. Nothing like starting off a meal out off.

   I ordered the half rotisserie chicken. Tasted so dry like they forgot to brine it. Also ordered a sangria that was forgettably average. The clam appetizer was unbalanced as well. I felt like there was too much uncooked wine. Service was weird, the appetizer came after the entree and when we needed to pack up our left overs, they did not offer to help us. Tip was obviously less than 15% for those reasons.

   Poor experience. First even after I confirmed reservation with open table , I hit a call insisting that we show up 10 minutes prior to reservation time with all 6 of us even though we have a firm reservation. When we went there, it was 20% empty! Waited a while to get drinks and no follow up during meal. The appetizers are substandard, the mushroom pasta had 5 pieces of pasta. Falafel salad lacked basic understanding of Mediterranean food. Nebiolo listed on menu was not available. They non chalantly included 20% tip assuming they have done a great job(far from It)

   The service is just not good. With reservation took forever to be seated and waiter took forever to take out order, bring our food. The food wasn’t good. In addition the grilled broccolini was super salty to point that not eatable.

   Zinque was good, but not great. The food was alright, but not special. The atmosphere was just ok too. The best part was probably the nice server that we had. Great location near the harbor.
