Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Hector Marquez

The filet was not so good for the price. I would say Texas Road House has a better one. Otherwise all other dishes were very good. Tbe service was good but not the very best. I think they make a huge mistake when they changed locations.

We met friends there and had a great night. Had drinks first— best martini ever! Server was nice and accommodating. Food was great—every plate cleaned :). Even the valet agent was friendly. Overall a terrific experience.

Second time there. Second time to order the bison ribeye - supposedly the best they have. Starter sampler plate was very good. I ordered my steak medium with veggies and a salad - it came with veggies and potatoes (I can’t eat potatoes). Server grabbed my plate - went back to the kitchen and exchanged it for another plate with another steak - this time extremely well done. Ruined - no taste- burnt. No bother to ask how the steak was - I didn’t even eat 3/4 of it - just couldn’t. Field green salad was better than the steak. First time there was a 9/10. This time a 4/10. It was Monday evening- no rush- no big crowds- should’ve been 10/10.

I didn’t care for the sides offered, the waitress stated I can change them. What she didn’t say was there was a 9.00 up charge. For a side of jalapenos grits and mushroom. Also the 20 plus minute wait on the main entree.

We love coming to the Reata for our anniversary, it’s became our spot! The new location is beautiful but wishing it had a little more room cause it was pretty loud and hard to hear at times. We will definitely be back but gonna ask for a booth next time!

The food at Reita was solid — the tamales were great, the asada was cooked well, and the enchiladas were tasty. The patio is nice and comfortable, definitely a good place to sit and relax. Unfortunately, the service was slow and inattentive. Drinks were poorly made, tasted terrible and they seem to use cheap ingredients — definitely not reflected in the price. Margarita and Ranch Water ordered were not drinkable. Sat on the table full the entire meal. Overall, the food and patio were worth it, but the service and drinks were not good. Not sure we will try again.

We visited Reata last night to celebrate my Birthday. I actually had a Gift Card from our terrible experience from 02/2023. This visit wasn’t any better. My steak came out so tough the first time that I could not even chew it. I had asked for a new steak and had to wait almost 40 minutes for it to arrive. The new steak was not even cooked. It was however covered in an obscene amount of gravy. (My first steak did not have gravy.) I had asked for my steak to be cooked medium-well and he admitted that this steak was rare. He offered to cook it again but at this point we had been at the restaurant for over an hour. I now still have that same Gift Card but I can assure you that it will not be used.

We just had a wonderful date night dinner at Reata. The staff was engaging from the moment we walked in the door and showed us to our table. Our server was very energetic, well informed and fun to banter with. I wish I could recall his name to give him proper recognition. We both got the striped bass special which was outstanding. It was seriously one of the best entrees we’ve ever ordered at Reata and that goes back for years!
