   I met four friends for a reunion lunch on a rainy Saturday this Memorial Day weekend. I got there early and was graciously greeted by our server, Mercedes. When she found out we were first-timers she told her manager, Robert, who appeared minutes later with probably the best cornbread I have ever had, warm and flavorful with a touch of sweetness that, when eaten with butter, got raves from everyone at the table. For drinks we started with several glasses of sauvignon blanc and a Shirley Temple. Some of what we had: the House Salad with Rotisserie Chicken, BBQ Baby Back Ribs with French Fries & Coleslaw, the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich, and two got the Signature Prime Dip. All were well satisfied with their meals, with one of us mentioning she would have liked a little more seasoning on the Rotisserie Chicken. I had the ribs which were, as promised by Mercedes, fall-off-the-bone tender. What we didn't finish we packed up to bring home. We were in a celebratory mood so we shared a dessert -- a Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae, a skillet sized cookie topped with several scoops of vanilla ice cream and caramel, with chocolate-caramel sauce on the side. Sinfully delicious! We left well-satisfied with our experience--the food, the ambiance, and the excellent service by the Redstone staff. No doubt we will be back!

   The service was extremely slow at brunch today - I would not go back. The bar also got a couple drink orders wrong and the kitchen took almost 40 minutes to make a few egg dishes and sandwiches.

   Overpriced apps, one entree was buttermilk chicken sandwich but they didnt specify thigh meat which was wet and chewy, instead of breast meat so mgr took it back and returned w a burger that was to be cooked well done but it was too pink to eat so we took it home to the dog. 3 of us were basically finished eating. Before the burger entree came out. Not the waitress of mgr’s fault. Just unfortunate situation. The thai noodle entree was alao served w dark chicken thigh meat, most was not eaten. We were not charged for the chicken breast sandwich or pink burger. Steaks were $40+ and $50+ so I would prefer a true steak house if I were to pay that price. It was the 4th time my husband and I had eaten there but it was the other couple’s 1st time😔 Again waitress and mgr were both lovely so that was a plus. ,

   We had entree salads that were larger than expected and very good. Server was great, very friendly. I gave four stars because we asked for no onions on our salads and one salad came out with onions on it. Our server offered to get a different one but we said it wasn’t necessary. He came back with a pie slice size Of cornbread from the chef to apologize for the mistake. Our server went above and beyond to make up for the onions on the salad! As our evening went on we saw less and less of our server and had to wait almost 40 plus minutes for him to come back to the table to check in with us so we could ask for a dessert menu. It did get busier but it was unusual for any server to “disappear” like that. We chose not to have dessert because we didn’t want to wait anymore. He did apologize for how long it was taking him to make it back around to us (table for two in a sea of larger dinner parties)!! Overall it was a nice evening, had a couple of glitches in it but nothing that will keep us away. We’ve been to Redstone many times and it has always been a nice evening out with great food. The noise level was about the same as always, getting louder as the evening goes on and larger parties arrive. Redstone is a great place for meeting up with friends and larger dinner parties - date night with the hubby, last night, not so much!!
