Overall, an excellent experience. Service was a little spotty. When asking for water, he brought it just for those who asked and not the entire table, which was a bit odd. Food was delicious.

Really wonderful spot! The cocktails were great. We had the Hannah, the Mel, the reaelyn, and the spicy paloma. We shared an espresso martini and it was one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had in Newport. The bone in rib eye for 2 was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The heirloom carrots are a must try. For dessert, the tiramisu was fabulous. Highly recommend!

On a very cold evening, there were fires in 2 large fireplaces, which gave a warm and inviting atmosphere. The historic building was immaculately kept. The white table cloths added sophistication. The steak frites was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The chicken marsala was nicely done, but we were disappointed with the mashed potatoes, which were mainly a butter puree with a hint of potato. We took a risk ordering the pasta with ragu in a traditional, non-Italian restaurant, but it really paid off. It was absolutely delicious. High quality meat. Authentic Italian taste and al dente pasta. They also had an extensive wine list. The server was very pleasant and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

This was one of the best meals we have had! From the bread, to the octopus app (OH, that octopus!), to our meals…all delicious, fresh, and prepared to perfection. I had the tuna, and my husband had the seafood pasta. Both full of flavor, good sized, and yummy. Our waitress was attentive on a busy night. A table of friends came in about halfway through our meal, which took some of her attention away, but we absolutely got what we needed. The only complaint was out of the restaurant’s control. A young family sat at the table next to us, which was mildly disruptive and brought the noise level up a bit.
