New Bern Restaurants

We went on our anniversary and were greeted with an unexpected gift and card for my wife. It was our first trip to Prime. We had heard from others that it was overpriced, but were pleased to find that he prices were competitive for local fine dining establishments. She had crab cakes and I got the pork chop. Both were very good followed by chocolate cake that is almost too good to believe. We will be back.

WOW that was an excellent Sunday brunch in every way!

Blue Moon Bistro is an absolute masterpiece of dining perfection! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty with service that was as warm and inviting as it was flawlessly attentive. The staff anticipated our every need, making the entire experience feel seamless and utterly luxurious. The food? Simply divine. Each dish was a testament to culinary brilliance, bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and crafted with an attention to detail that left us in awe. Every bite was an experience in itself, and the balance of flavors was nothing short of genius. And let’s not forget the drinks—oh, the drinks! Each cocktail was a work of art, expertly mixed and served with flair. From the first sip to the last, the flavors were bold, refreshing, and perfectly complementary to the meal. Their drink menu alone is worth the visit! Blue Moon Bistro doesn’t just set the bar for exceptional dining—it redefines it. This is a place where unforgettable memories are made, and I can’t wait to go back!

This was my third visit to Aqua and it has consistently had great seafood. The Swordfish(catch of the day) was simply divine. The Saffron soaked pear salad was a nice starter. We also enjoyed coconut-based mussels that was a little of a miss as it was TOO coconuty . The server(Jonathan) was good, except we did request a coursed out dinner and he bought both the mussels and fish at the same time which presented a little bit of a dilemma when they both should be enjoyed warm. There may have been a little confusion as two of us were sharing , nonetheless , we had a lovely dinner and appreciated the special touch of wishing my son a Happy Birthday with a card signed by the staff. It was a very nice touch. We will return to Aqua when we are again in Beaufort!

The cocktails (Old Fashions), appetizers (She Crab Soup and Corn Chowder), Tapas (Tuna and Rosemary Beef), and desert (Maple Bacon Cheescake) were outstanding. Our waiter and the bartender were great. Everything was fabulous as usual! Best food in Carteret County!
