Riviera is a local restaurant for local people, sourcing our main ingredients from within a 28 mile radius as the crow flies.

In an area with such close links to North Wales, Cheshire and Lancashire, it would be a shame not to source the very best local ingredients right on our doorstep.

Come and enjoy casual dining, a true traditional brasserie, for a simple yet inspired interpretation of brasserie style dining. Our back to basics approach will serve dishes as they are ready - a return to honest, tasty food.

Our ethos is to support local farmers, producers and small suppliers who strive for the highest quality and unique ingredients that sets us aside from the rest.

Dissapointed and underwhelmed with the tasting menu. Food average at best and certainly not worth the price.

Great food, very interesting menu concept. Ordered 4 small plates and a large plate to share between 2. Food was very well presented and tasted as good as it looked. Very attentive service by Sherry. Excellent night overall.

This is a fascinating setting at a hotel within the now-restored old hospital at Port Sunlight. We had lunch on a Friday. There was a wide range of options available despite the restaurant being very quiet. We had a variety of small tasting dishes which were very well presented and served tapas style. There was a good range of interesting wines available by the glass - more than is usually the case. Service was very good. Worth a trip out both for the restaurant itself and for the surroundings.

Seriously tucked away in Port Sunlight village, once we found it, we were impressed from start to finish. The welcome was warm, with several bar areas offered where we could take a pre-dinner drink. The dining room itself was simple and atmospheric, and the only real complaint we would have about the ambience was the mismatch between the elegant menu, staff and setting and the bizarre choice of R+B soundtrack! The wine menu was enormous, with the unusual bonus that any could be ordered by the glass, with "upgrades" offered at no extra cost to bottles already open for other customers. All the food was well cooked, and thoughtfully presented. Particular credit goes to the perfect fillet steaks, and divine butterscotchy burnt english cream.
