   I recently dined at the Ralph Lauren Restaurant in Chicago and had an exceptional experience. Our server, John, was truly spectacular—attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He made sure our dining experience was perfect from start to finish. We were lucky to have a beautiful window view, which added to the overall ambiance and made our meal even more enjoyable. The food was exquisite, and the elegant setting made for a memorable evening. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or a lovely night out in the city!

   Just another unreal experience at RL. The food is reliably exceptional. ambiance is top tier even if not sitting next to the fireplace as we were. The servers are remarkable! Friendly, knowledgeable, personable but not overbearing. I don’t write reviews and hate making RL even more difficult to get in to, but it is deserved.

   The ambiance of the place is outstanding, so is the service. It was our first time and I made a mistake of getting a reso in the lounge area. While we were given the best table out there--very romantic by the fireplace with 2 big leather armchairs, the constant draught from the front door opening made it difficult to relax and enjoy, the fireplace was little help with that. I would say in winter months most definitely pick the main dining room. Drinks were good, steak and eggs and escargots from the brunch menu as well. The Gold coast benedict (salmon, poached eggs and potato pancake)-- I wish those were 2 small think potato latkes instead of 1 thick pancake that was kind of flavorless. Otherwise will be back for sure to try other things.

   Given that it was my first time, the overall experience was terrific—our server was attentive, the food was phenomenal, and the ambiance added to the evening’s charm. My party and I truly enjoyed the dining experience, and it was a lovely spot to celebrate my partners birthday. However, the service at the podium left much to be desired. When we arrived, the host (male) seemed dismissive and did not offer a coat check, something I later discovered was available through my friends who arrived earlier. When I inquired about it, the host directed me to wait but then began chatting with another party, leaving me feeling overlooked. Upon leaving, we experienced further confusion regarding retrieving our coats. We weren’t provided with coat check tickets, which caused a delay as the staff searched for our items. It was frustrating to see other guests who had tickets receive much smoother service. While the majority of the staff made the evening enjoyable, the mishandling of the coat check process, especially for someone who made the reservation, was disappointing. I hope this feedback can help improve the guest experience moving forward because RL Restaurant has the potential to provide a flawless evening for all its patrons.

   Love it, and I would most definitely go back. The food was great , and drinks on point our server was so nice and friendly, and the manager made sure everything was running smooth for our visit,

   This was not a good experience. We were seated 20 minutes late for an 8:00 reservation. It took another 15 minutes for anyone to approach the table for a food or drink orders. Food didn’t arrive until 9:40. RL has packed so many tables that there is barely room to walk and only cares about selling as many drinks as possible. In a city with hundreds of phenomenal restaurants, avoid this train wreck.

    Have eaten here before and can always be assured of great food, great service, great ambiance! Like everything Ralph Lauren it is a wonderful experience!
