Roaring Fork is an American Western Bistro. We utilize a combination of ingredients indigenous to the American West and locally grown, including produce, to capture the 'spirit' of the west. The restaurant offers a comfortable, laid back environment that includes friendly professional service and the highest quality food. A great deal of attention is paid in creating the recipes and always using ingredients that are found in the American West. Western cuisine is not a ceremony; it's a celebration! The robust flavors and the courage to try something different is what we are all about. We would like to invite everyone to experience our 'spirit' while enjoying our food and hospitality.

The Roaring Fork's Wood Fired Cooking captures the spirit of bold American cuisine, creating flavors that crackle with a rugged edge. In the Old West, the best food was prepared on a simple wood fire. This same spirit, freshness and flavor are at the heart of every dish we serve.

Year after year I continue to come to Roaring Fork and it never disappoints. The 22oz bone in ribeye was one of the best I’ve ever had, the ahi tuna was cooked perfectly with exquisite flavor. They accommodated allergy needs for two people in the party flawlessly. We will continue to chose this as our favorite restaurant in Scottsdale.

We walked out. Very pedestrian place anyway. We arrived a little early for our reservation, the girl at the front door greeted us and said “give us a few minutes’ and after standing there for 10 minutes with 0 communication, we left and went to Vecina, which I’d highly recommend if you like really great food and service. Roaring Fork, however, we’ll never know - they blew it - we’ll never be back.

Great food here and solid happy hour. Great service and attention to detail as well! Good atmosphere sitting down to eat in eating portion. A bit dark back there but manageable with phone light.

As always the food was wonderful. We started with the hot cornbread and the blt salad. Crispy lettuce and bacon with the perfect amount of blue cheese dressing. The four entrees we ordered were the filet, teriyaki salmon, ribeye and the shrimp and grits. The steaks were perfectly cooked served with the mashed potatoes and green chile Mac n cheese. Both sides were so creamy and delicious. The shrimp dish had an over easy egg on it which took it over the top. We ended with the brownie a la mode. RF is always on point!

The very young hostess sat us next to the kitchen. When we asked for another of the numerous empty booths we were told sorry we are all booked with reservations. We also had a reservation. The waitress only said no we can’t do that when asked questions. Very slow on beverage service. The staff we interacted with appeared to not be very well trained. My wife asked for a container to take home her unfinished stew. The container was brought out eventually but then we had to ask for a bad to put it in to carry it out. Lots of little annoyances added up to it very mediocre evening.
