   We used to go to Roy’s in Maui every year on our arrival night, and last year when we went to Honolulu for the first time, we tried Roy’s in Waikiki. It was great! Last night, we went back ( on our arrival night) and had an excellent meal. Our server Joshua was exceptional. We enjoyed talking to him, and he helped us decide on the delicious tiger prawns with crab ravioli. It went beautifully with an Aperture Sauvignon Blanc. He also brought out a lovely hamachi starter for us. We always love the excellent canoe sampler for two as a starter, so we also had that. The chocolate soufflé was amazing for dessert! Several other team members stopped by, including a woman who gave us great ideas for some things to do in Honolulu that not all tourists would know about. It was a perfect way to start our visit—great food, wine, and Hawaiian hospitality. Mahalo, Roy’s!

   Price is average for Waikiki area. Our server was great, but part way through the meal he got a large table and never returned. There were other staff who brought our food, filled our water, etc but were never offered to order another glass of wine or drinks again since our server never returned. Also having the hostess, cuss the F word to a coworker about table seating upon checking in didn't set the best tone for the evening.

   Christine, Justin and Jo were the best. Their attention to detail and the care they took was impeccable. Roy’s has been a staple for us when we visit Oahu and one of the reason is people like these three. Great Jon you three!

   Menu prices have raised significantly over my past few visits to this location. Over $70 for the fish trip is highway robbery.

   Outstanding service and attention to our every need. Server was very knowledgeable about the different foods and quickly understood the kind of fish we might prefer. Timing of the appetizer (crab cakes which were amazing), main dish (the butterfish caused an explosion of flavor in my mouth) and the dessert (one of us lava cake the other upside down pineapple cake) perfect. We were never rushed and the entire meal was a highlight of our trip. You will not go wrong at Roy’s and we will certainly return. Please remember that you will get what you pay for. Take a look at the menu and prices before you go to assure this amazing experience is within your travel budget and you won’t be caught off guard. We will certainly go back to Roy’s when we return to Hawai’i. Thank you Roy’s.

    By far one of the best restaurants in Waikiki. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted and everyone is so welcoming. Jo, Maya and Maike waited on me and they were all wonderful and so kind. The manager came by as well to check on me and she was just so sweet. Now onto the food, it was so delicious. I had the Local Deluxe plate so I can sample a little bit of everything they had. For dessert, of course I got the pineapple upside cake and it made to order so it was warm and delicious. I highly recommend Roy’s to anyone visiting Waikiki.
