   Everything was top class. Our waitress Nettie and her bidders and servers were fabulous. My husband held the front door open and the chef walked in and he sent us a beautiful and delicious appetizer to thank him. That’s service!!! Will go there again next trip.

   First time at Roy's. It didn't disappoint. Service was excellent; attentive with helpful suggestions. It is located in a shopping center with views of a manmade lagoon. the mixed grill was a winner! Salmon was good and tasted even better the next day. Salads were very tasty. Recommend the chocolate souffle.

   We walked into Roy’s and were greeted by the hostess and only had to wait 20 minutes after our reservation and then were given a table by the window with a beautiful view of the harbour . Our server Anna was very attentive as was the entire staff that waited on us . The menu was so enticing and our server Anna made great suggestions and had such a great personality . Our food was consistent with all of the Roy’s that we have been to . The Salmon and the blackened ahi was really good as were the sides that came with them . And the dessert was amazing and they wished us a Happy Anniversary with a complimentary dessert . Overall it was a great experience . I love using Open Table and I recommend Roys in Kona for a really special experience in dining .

   My wife and I dine at Roy's almost weekly. Thanks to their spectacular executive chef (Tyler), the food choice, taste and preparation are always outstanding! In addition to Roy's standard menu, chef Tyler adds creative nightly specials using local ingredients. The service is also friendly and attentive. Roy's certainly offers some of the Big Island's best food.

   Enjoyable ambience, delicious food especially the desserts. Pretty views of King’s Lake. Wonderful, kind, welcoming staff. Good wine list.

   Sad that I need to write such a poor review for a once “must dine” spot for me. Our female server was AWFUlL and almost seemed medicated or intoxicated. It took her 20+ minutes to come talk to us! When she finally did, she abruptly left mid-conversation saying she need to check on the table immediately next to us to make sure they were good with their cocktails and she never came back to take our order. At the 25 minute mark of being seated and not being able to order, we made the decision to walk out. Other observations are that Roy’s used to have table cloths and now your utensils are set directly on the table where they endlessly move around. The restaurant, while not busy, seemed to be short on servers which makes me wonder if they’re experiencing some operating challenges. As a long time fan of Roy’s, it’s disheartening to say we won’t be back again.

    We felt welcome the moment we walked in. The host was very kind. Our server took good care of us and was considerate of my allergies. The food was outstanding. We enjoyed every bite. Be sure and finish with the pineapple upside down cake. Outstanding.
