   I’ve been there several times and the food is usually very very good. The only issue I had was it took them four times to get my steak right. Other than that definitely will be going back.

   Great restaurant. Expensive but you get what you pay for Nicest restaurant in Ann Arbor, MI. Sound system was too loud in our area. Gorgeous bar. Steaks and lobster tail were perfect. Will come again on special occasions.

   Our favorites were fabulous-NY steak grilled to perfection medium rare with the most delicious rub, the tastiest Au gratin potatoes and perfectly seasoned Chilean Seabass. The waiter made some wonderful suggestions that we will contemplate Angie next time. Birthday within 3 days and your entree is discounted by your age. We both took advantage of 76% off with free dessert!

   Service was fine, but I would say our server was overwhelmed and to me it indicated things were short staffed. Took a long time for water, etc. She was great, but tending too many tables.

   Usually Ruth’s Chris is superb. Tonight just good. Waiter: distracted, maybe overworked by short staffing; Ambient temperature: too cold in upstairs dining room. Steak: excellent as always.

   The Moet Chandon Tastemakers dinner was $310 plus tax and automatic 22% gratuity added for a total of $397 for two people. This is way too much to pay for the very average experience. Let’s start with the grouped seating, which significantly impacts your experience because your only option is to sit with at least 4 or more strangers for $397. The Moet Chandon Rep did not present anything which is a main part of the Tastemakers’ dinners. In fact, she only introduced herself and made sure to remark that she did not like [projecting] public speaking anymore. The glasses of Moet were advertised as full drinks and we were being served half full glasses. The serving size of the first three courses, should not’ve been labeled as courses at all. They were one bite size, literally and the fried cod ball was very salty. The filet and dessert were the only dishes that were a regular serving size but the sides for the filet were set on the table for the entire group of six strangers or more to share. Oh, and let me not forget that the Ratatouille had a stone in it , YES A STONE, that I almost broke my tooth on. The general manager came over to apologize and later had one of the waiters bring me a complimentary order of sweet potato casserole for me almost needing dental repair work. Every Tastemakers dinner does a raffle during the dinner with pretty decent prices usually, like a gift card or a personalized vendor memorabilia. The two prizes given away were wine glasses with Moet heat-adhered to the glass like something a friend makes you and some sunglasses packaged in plastic like the 3-D glasses you get at the movies. They weren’t even champagne flutes. Finally, the menu says the dessert is served with tea or coffee but not tonight, unless you asked. The service was decent but not to the tune of $70 tip per two persons. All in all the experience gets a 4 out of 10 and I seriously doubt I’ll attend another Tastemakers dinner at the Ruth Chris- Ann Arbor, Mi location.
