   Our dining experience was subpar and was quite disappointing for a birthday celebration. Our server John started off very welcoming, yet towards the end of our meal we were beginning to feel a shift. He forgot the Tabasco sauce for the calamari which was completely finished before he even came back to the table. The salad came out with ranch instead of French, only to be brought out thousand island (which he could have easily communicated wasn’t offered/available). We had to ask several times if Apple Pay was accepted; we had to remind him that our meal included a dessert, had to ask for the birthday cheesecake that came out saying Happy Bimthay. The manager noted that the cake was missing a candle and brought back the same exact cheesecake WITHOUT the candle. We had to ask for our check and when he brought it he placed it on the table and said “good night”. I would expect this type of service from a regular restaurant but we drove over an hour to celebrate and left with an unsettling experience. The food was delicious but the service left a horrible taste in my mouth. Not what we expected and looked forward to for this price point!! The fact that we spoke directly to the manager and he made no attempt to rectify the situation made the situation much worse for us. I even stated that we wanted to post it for her birthday and he brought back the same exact cake. Highly unacceptable. Details matter, which is why we drove an hour for white linens, 500 degree plates, and impeccable service. Nevertheless, you dropped the ball on the service tonight. What was supposed to be a memorable birthday dinner turned into a night of disappointments.

   It was a great night, very special. We were in the middle of a family crisis, they knew it and they sat us upstairs in a private room.

   Our 30th Anniversary. Arrived and they took us up to second floor. Totally isolated from everyone else. Nice gesture but we over looked downstairs and the folks eating down below us, many tables there voices amplified up to us. So we didn’t have the piece and quiet as the restaurant thought. My steak was ordered medium. It was rare inside. Waiter took it. 7-9 minutes later manager came back with same steak and it was charred outside, plate was piping hot, so I cut into it and it was still pretty rare. I ate it. Didn’t want to further complain in front of my wife. And I thought when the waiter told us there’s a 5 dollar up charge if my wife wanted to upgrade her dessert choices. Waiter was a great guy. He saw my frustration. But anyway big difference this time for some reason vs last June on my birthday which was great. But this time a solid 3/5 score.

   The food was absolutely delicious and our waitress's recommendations did not miss. The spicy shrimp were fantastic!

   I love this place! I'm so glad French Onion soup is back on the menu. All of our meals were perfect. Perfect pace of the service. Our server was fantastic; he always checked in at the ideal time and even had some dad jokes! I love that the manager checked in us, too. I can't recommend this place enough.

   The service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive. The tables were a little close together as our individual chairs were bumped into by other patrons’ chairs. Maybe they inserted a table or two to maximize space? Our salads were good and the Brussel sprouts and potatoes au gratin were great but my wife and I both thought our Filets were overcooked(we ordered med rare). They were still good, but we have had better there. It was New Year’s Eve and they were busy, i am positive it will be better next time we go.
