   Best Turkey plate in town for the holidays. This was our 3rd year at Ruth’s for the holidays. We will be back. It’s our go-to holiday restaurant.

   Honestly the thanksgiving meal was very disappointing. The stuffing tasted like it was scraped from the bottom of the pan. The turkey was just ok. Portions were small. The service however was great.

   Party of 4, seated 25 minutes after reservation time, glass of water spilled on table by waitress, wrong appetizer ordered by waitress after repeating what we wanted and had it sent to table, had to constantly ask for drink refills, cleared dishes at the same time next course was placed on table (salad bowl picked up with one hand while placing entree dish on table), multiple empty glasses never picked up, shrimp on top of steak were cold, cocktails had little alcohol, room was 61 degrees with ac constantly blowing. Waiter tried to adjust temp to 65 with no luck. THREE hours and $480 later, we were finally finished with our meal. Reservation time was 2:30 pm. Waitress left the crab stuffed mushrooms on the bill because they were cheaper than the crab cakes we ordered and were not charged for 2 cocktails.

   This was the first time I had to wait more than 1/2 hr. past my reservations time to be seated. I understand that it was a holiday, but that is why I made reservations. Our server Chase was wonderful. His smile was lovely as was his people skills. He came to our table many times to check on us and make sure the food we ordered was just like we wanted it.

   This was our first visit. The steak was amazing and cooked perfectly. All the food was great and the blueberry cheesecake was so light and delicious.

   We have often dined at Ruth's Chris on Fulton St. in New Orleans, but having moved from the French Quarter to the Lakefront we had never tried Ruth's Chris in Metairie, until now.. It far exceeded our expectations. Our waiter Chase, was a pro, very attentive and professional. The meal was fabulous! I think we have found a "new best place". and a "new Thanksgiving tradition, dining with Ruth's Chris."

   We have been patrons of Ruth’s Chris for Thanksgiving for almost 20 years. It had always been the highlight of our holiday season, along with coming throughout the year for various celebrations. Food is always on point, servers there to help us with anything needed. This was the first year that something was not the same. Everyone who ordered steak at our table has to send it back because it’s was not cooked properly. There is usually support staff helping the main waitstaff with the tables, cleaning behind each course, checking on drinks and such, helping the main waitstaff so they aren’t overwhelmed. There was none of this. I am not sure what had happened between last year and now, but I hope that this comment will be reviewed and whatever changes have been made reversed. These things are what have always made Ruth’s Chris stand out from every other steakhouse in our area. I would love yo see them return.

   Best Thanksgiving dinner ever…. Turkey was moist and tender, stuffing was Cajun style and a little spicy but flavorful and delicious …… we had the best server in town Lynell who had been at the restaurant for many years ….. she should be running the place …. She never disappoints …..great experience … highly recommend for Thanksgiving

    Service: kind when she showed up (we waited 45 minutes for our check Food: obviously previously frozen and mid - bisque tasted like flour, steaks mid, sides mid, salad good Ambience: wants to be prestigious but a bit out dated Drinks: good Having never been before but it belong a locally established spot we went. After the overpriced Applebee's quality though, we won't be back.
