Don’s Favorite Foods is a prix-fixe restaurant created by husband and wife team Chef Don Salamone and Kate Laurents in partnership with Sommelier Adam Galbraith.

Our menu changes monthly and highlights dishes Don grew up with as well as those he mastered though working at Michelin-starred restaurants across the country.

From Don: You may find gnocchi like my Ma used to make or Italian sausage modeled after my Godfather’s, Oreste “Ernie” Capone. You might find scallops still in their shells, Oregon pork in the style of Braciole, & popovers I learned to make from my mother-in-law, Terry, because she makes those every Christmas morning... beef tartare, sea urchin, caviar, etc too. These things are all my favorites.

There were six of us for our annual family Pre-Christmas dinner. We do this every year at a different restaurant, last night was perfect. Our server was great, the food was great, the cocktails were great. We had a great time!

The LaChona brand was born out of a love for sharing incredible wine with close friends and family. Theres’s a surprising depth of Burmese food in NYC. After having it in abundance in San Francisco I was pleasantly surprised to find a high quality Burmese restaurant in a Portland suburb on a random trip so I booked a team dinner here. The food was better the second time and I plan on coming back any time I’m in the area.
