Gaijin is surely one of the best sushi restaurants in Birmingham, in my opinion. The food is always amazing, and I appreciate the attentive service. I went for the Omakase tasting menu, and it was a fantastic experience. I found the price reasonable for what you receive. For some, it may be expensive, but I honestly believe that you always pay for quality, and the food is undoubtedly of high quality. Totally recommended!

This beautiful restaurant —the name means ‘history’ -- is the £2 million brainchild of businessman Raj Rana and it’s been raking in awards since it opened its doors. The décor is contemporary meets traditional with two dining rooms honouring colonial and maharaja eras – there are slate finished walls, original paintings, carved stone elephants, Jali marble window frames like those found in Mogul palaces and elegant black sari-clad hostesses.
