Food was great and so was service. The band was way too loud. They were good but we came for ambiance and the ability to talk to each other and when they started playing we could not hear each other and we were not even in the same room as the band

A lovely experience. Our server, Seth, was outstanding. Triple J never disappoints. Only one critique, the time between the rolls, the appetizer, our salads, and finally our main course arrived to our table was minimal. I do not know how you solve this issue, but it felt hurried and we could not keep up. The tables are not large enough to place all those dishes at the same time either. Again, this is not a complaint, we will for sure come back to your fine establishment. If you served your President, he probably would have said the same.

We were seated near the piano so it was hard to hear out tablemates over the christmas tunes. Food was outstanding but expensive. Waitress was great, there with tea/water refills before we realized we needed them.

Amarillo
About the restaurant
In 1960, R. J. “Bob” Lee opened The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo Texas on Route 66, the “Mother Road”. It’s distinctive architecture soon became recognized across the Mother Road as a good stopping place for great steaks grilled over an open flame. The Big Texan is famous for the FREE 72oz steak challenge, which includes eating a salad, baked potato, shrimp cocktail and 72 ounces of beef! Stop in and have a one of a kind experience with large, juicy steaks, cowboys and cowgirls, and take a dive into the Old Wild West!

The Big Texan has more to offer than just big steaks! Stay with us either at our RV Park, Cabins, Wagons, Airstream, and AIRBNBs on property.

Overall it was wonderful. Food was cooked perfectly and server was quite helpful. We were very satisfied, the only criticism was the timing of the salads as they came the same time as the entrées. Also, they could have maybe prebussed a little more efficiently, but it was a great meal and I would love to go again.
