Üdvözöljük a Risoban!
Éttermünk 2011 nyara óta van jelen a budai várnál. A ’Terrace’ szó nem hiába került bele az elnevezésbe, hiszen a vendégek valóban úgy érezhetik, hogy egy másik világba, idilli környezetbe csöppentek, elég helyet foglalni a buja zöld növényzettel körülölelt terasz asztalainál. A kerthelyiség szinteltolásos építészeti kialakítása, a felső részen helyet kapott grillkonyha, a kényelmesen és tágasan elhelyezett bútorzat otthonos hangulatot teremt.

Our guests can indeed feel that they got into another world, an idealistic scene, it is enough to take a seat at the tables of the terrace surrounded by lush, growing greens. The leveled architectural design of the terrace, the higher level of the grill kitchen, the comfortably and loosely placed furniture, creates an intimate and also cozy feeling.

Very busy and atmospheric restaurant. Fantastic food, large portions (doggy bag provided if required). Quick service and friendly staff.

The Black Swan's nest is hidden in ordinary surroundings, inside walls that look average. A little light filtered out onto the street from behind heavy velvet curtains shows you are heading in the right direction. Beautifully decorated inside and very warm (nice in the winter). We got the most popular shrimp spaghetti dish, along with a rigatoni and steak medallion dish, and a roast goose and polenta dish as a main. All the food was delicious and service was good - just a bit more than we’d expect to pay for this normally. We did have two glasses of wine and had to purchase water so I suppose that is why too (and service fee was included). Overall I’d go again and recommend it, but if you only had one or two meals in Budapest and are able to get good Italian wherever you normally are, I’d say try something else and come here if you have time for a 3rd or 4th meal.

We reopened Macesz after the pandemic in the spring of 2022. We can not wait to meet again our haunters and new guests as well.

The restaurant is suitable for exclusive events with up to 60 people as well.

Macesz Bistro is one of the most exciting culinary spots in downtown Budapest, an excellent choice for a romantic dinner, a family lunch or a business meeting.

Visited here from Ireland and have to say it was fab!! Great food, great atmosphere and fantastic staff, the decor is just cool, food was delicious, would definitely recommend.

We haven’t met yet, but I finally have arrived to Budapest and I would like to let you in some secrets about me, just to make sure you will recognize me when the time will come. I have a very strong feeling about you and me spending this summer together.
So, who am I…
I am coming from a large and highly sophisticated family, but if I am honest I was always the black sheep around. Nothing serious - of course, I mean from my part. :P I am eager to swim against the flow and to do what others may not even dream or think of trying.
I love to travel, to get to know other cultures and people from all around the world. I love to eat…oh my God all those amazing flavors and colors of the world.

We did not have food but dry roasted peanuts were offered and accepted, the drinks were exceptional and cocktails were of the highest order, French 75 made with champagne and Sydney apple conjured even though it was not on the list - a top venue
