About the restaurant

Maison Carlos is a continental restaurant with an emphasis on French and Italian cuisine. Carlos and Lanie Farias opened Maison Carlos in December of 2002. After seven years on Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach, the couple made the decision to move their establishment a couple miles south to the El Cid neighborhood. They wanted a smaller restaurant with more of a neighborhood vibe. The new space has only eleven tables and is open for dinner only. Carlos is there every night, seating people, taking orders and is very hands on. Being open only for dinner Carlos spends his days shopping for the restaurant, selecting only the freshest ingredients.

Such a fantastic restaurant with delicious home made food, great service in a beautiful setting. Everything is amazing here I HIGHLY recommend. This restaurant is positively a winner!! First time here was Christmas Day. What a pleasant surprise. I had the veal chop parmigiana. The sauce was amazing, the veal was tender and the pasta was perfect. I loved the service and the timing of the food. I lived that all servers were present and attentive. It’s like eating on many of the islands, you have a main server but all servers take the responsibility to make your time at their restaurant an enjoyable one. Loved this place. We will be back this summer.

Ordered some hot tea with my food. By the time they were able to come back with a spoon to stir the honey , it was cold. Ordered another one. Cup came with lipstick prints on it. I expect better from this place. Overall good experience. Food portions continue to get smaller for a higher price so not as good of a value for the money. Overall it is always a good experience here. They should take care that it doesn’t continue to go down.
