Since 1937, once nestled in the middle of cornfields stands the Smokehouse Market. An unpretentious structure, reminiscent of its days as the market for the surrounding Chesterfield area. The store now houses one of St. Louis's most celebrated restaurants, Annie Gunn's. Within its walls, Chef Lou Rook, III works his magic, creating irresistible cuisine with a sophisticated country life accent. The food has always was excellent hot at the table. Staff is always responsive to all your needs. They’re there when you need them not hovering, which is nice too. It’s just my favorite place to go. Take guests there tonight as other nights and they’re never disappointed.

1) Umbrellas- These are stationary and will not be moved per any requests.
2) Heaters-These are stationary and will not be moved per any requests.
3) Parties of 5 or more will be seated on the outskirts of the patio (P1-P6). No seating underneath the pavilion.
4) Parties of 6 or more, 1 check, 20% policy; up to 3 credit cards may be provided for bill.
5) Parties of 5 or more, at least half of the party must be present in order to be seated.
6) Seating in the garden room and waterfall area will vary depending on private events taking place.
7) We ask that all guests arrive on time and give us a call at least 15 minutes ahead of reservation if you're running late; we also ask that everyone is mindful of the allotted 2 hour time frame for seating to allow all guests to partake in the patio experience.

I had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious!! I will order that again. My husband and our friend had the meatloaf. It was good but not hot. I love coming here and it’s wonderful when you can eat out on the patio. Great fried chicken here too! Always had great service!

This is one of my sister's favorite places for breakfast. I was there for dinner. The restaurant is clean and well managed. The service was great/ And the food was great also. We had the cauliflower appetizer, mushroom quiche, meat loaf, and apple crepes for dessert. We'll be back.
