Just completing its first year on the dining scene in Telluride, Kazahana offers classic Japanese cuisine prepared by Chef Naoki Takahashi and his team. Sourcing the freshest seafood from around the world, the menu includes sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, chirashi, tartar and ceviche, as well as a selection of salads and hot entrees. Beverage options include Japanese inspired cocktails, whiskey, beer, and a top notch selection of sake and wine. The 10-seat Omakase Bar features a 18 course chef's choice tasting menu with optional sake and wine pairings. Kazahana offers happy hour 5-6pm featuring sushi and rotating drink specials.

We loved it! We plan this event to celebrate my son‘s birthday. The staff were all amazing. I brought in a homemade cake and they kept it a secret with me and added some beautiful gold, flake to the top, and the hostess offered to go to my car with me to get it so we could keep it a secret. In the last year so it’s been more important to me to go to restaurants who have incredibly kind people even more so than the quality of the food that is why I keep going back to Go Fish. And the food is amazing!

The award-winning Uchi, which translated from Japanese means “home,” was first opened in Austin, Texas by James Beard Award winner Chef Tyson Cole. Since then, Cole’s signature non-traditional take on Japanese cuisine has been warmly received by visitors from across the country and around the globe. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. We offer the best sushi you will find in Steamboat and beyond. Open Tuesday-Saturday at 5pm.

Reservations are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome.
We offer regular tables, high-tops, sushi bar seats, and our community high-top bar.

HIDDEN GEM! I stumbled across ads and recommendations while searching for a new local sushi place to try. Very reasonable price point and EXCEPTIONAL quality. After the first course, we started planning a repeat visit for an upcoming Omakase (chef’s choice) dinner, which they offer ~ monthly. The owner Jesse even stopped by to chat when she learned it was our 1st visit. Bonus: Basic hot sake is very affordable too!
