Woody’s has a very good reputation and they did not disappoint. The drinks were good, the steaks were simply the best and the service was timed perfectly to our liking. Even the dinner music they play quietly in the background is wonderful. Of course we will be back again and soon.

Mark and Mary Shapley began this dining tradition in 1985 and soon became one of the premier restaurants in the state. After taking a break to raise their two girls, they have returned with the same great food and service everyone came to know. Great steaks and seafood along with their famous tamales are still the main attraction along with an impressive bar and wine offerings. Our first time at Shapley’s, and it won’t be our last! Fresh redfish cooked perfectly, and a wonderful filet mignon cooked to order. Sides were delicious and seasoned well. We really enjoyed the tamales which we were told was an old family recipe. And we finished with a wonderful bread pudding for dessert. Loved it!

Recently named the Best Fining Dining Restaurant in Mississippi by Mississippi Magazine and located in the Fairpark District, Park Heights offers Chef Thomas Lester's menu including seared hanger steak, yellowfin tuna tartar, heirloom tomato caprese, prosciutto wrapped monkfish and prime cuts of beef. The main dining room, with its reclaimed hardwood floors and retro lighting, provides an atmosphere that is sophisticated without feeling formal. Often sited as the best in town, the service is professional and gracious, and the wine list is extensive. Tien is our go-to place locally for the best Asian food. Everything is always fresh and cooked just right. The Ahi salad could use more Ahi and less rice but otherwise the food was great. We have introduced three other couples to Tien and all have gone back again.
