It was my husband and mine first dining experience at this restaurant. Staff was extremely kind and on point, especially our server Brian! The food was off the charts delicious; fresh ingredients, balanced and unique flavors that was surprisingly familiar to me from an amazing restaurant in Bellevue that we previously frequented (closed years ago)…to my delight, we learned from the extremely personable General Manager Angie, that the owner of this restaurant had previously worked at that Bellevue location and had a business dealing with that owner as well. We also thoroughly enjoyed the gigantic meatball appetizer, the perfect bread (crispy on the outside and soft in the middle) served with a tasty infused dipping oil, the house salad (one of the best that I have ever had and the dressing was extremely reminiscent of that restaurant in Bellevue), and the Canestri bolognese entree was just incredible (a very generous portion)!! In addition, this restaurant (been at the previous restaurant a few times called The Classroom) is beautifully charming!! My husband and I look forward to returning soon to enjoy another delicious meal…my goal over the coming year, will be to have tried everything on the menu!!

Beautiful restaurant with fabulous food. We had a reservation and were taken upstairs promptly. We were excited at first - thinking the upstairs would overlook the main floor with it's beautiful living green wall - but were a bit sad when the upstairs area where the dinner tables are is walled off. Why???? The bar upstairs has a great view over the side thru a glass wall. Odd design for the upstairs. That aside --- the food is really fantastic and creative. My friend and I shared everything. We got 2 apps from the "dips" section --- a tasty charred babaganoush topped with crispy chickpeas; and roasted pepper pesto with whipped ricotta. Neither comes with bread - which is odd. You have to order their focaccia (or you could eat your dips w/ a spoon!) - which was fresh and SO tasty and a large portion. Still - this adds another $10 to your bill. (Eyebrow raise - paying for BREAD??) We got a "small plate" - duck confit - with perfectly crisped skin and a divine white bean ragout (reminded us of cassoulet a bit) & pancetta. The last dish was our least fave - the mushroom pappardelle. The cheese overwhelmed the dish. A FAB night. We'll most definitely be back.

The delicious duck breast was cooked perfectly at medium rare. The fritto mistook was tender, flavorful and perfectly crisp. A bottle of 2019 Giribaldi Barolo complemented the meal beautifully.

We had a wonderful Christmas celebration with our friends. The food, service and wine were delicious and the setting was warm and welcoming. I was looking forward to the chicken pastina soup that I remembered was made like my grandmothers. It was different this time, but still delicious. Merry Christmas!

The first dinner my son wanted when he came home from Portland, OR for the holidays was Mercurio's pizza. So we shared 3 pizzas and a bottle of Nero Davala wine. Mercurio's in Fox Chapel is our favorite pizza place and we love the staff who are so energetic and pleasant. Happy holidays!!
