We had a terrific experience Friday evening at Stonehouse Restaurant .. San Ysidro Ranch. It could not have been better. The Big Three of Restaurant evaluation; Food, Service, Ambiance all receive max Five Stars.

Fresh, local ingredients, prepared with care. Excellent wines that reflect the quality and character of our region and work in concert with the cuisine. Warm, inviting ambiance, service at a relaxed, leisurely pace. Santa Barbara ‘Wine Country Cuisine’ means we source our ingredients using an ‘as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible’ approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside. Happy to report impressed with them and will return often. Wait and admin staff very special, best in Montecito, Ca which says something. Fernando GM and Dubra, Marco and Alex comprise outstanding personnel. Impossible to beat combo food and service.

Christmas Eve, where else would you want to be? Olio was packed with holiday diners, but we only had to wait 10 minutes to get seated. As is often the case, with a party of 4 we get to sample a couple of appetizers plus a great bottle of red wine. Service was prompt and efficient and the food was excellent. Can't wait to return...

I love this place; have been several times. I’ve only had dinner at the bar, so can’t speak to table service, but the bartenders work hard, and are funny, attentive and very knowledgeable about wines. The atmosphere is lively and sophisticated. Did I mention the food??? Pizza is amazing here. NY steak & frites is fantastic. Enjoy!
