   Amazing food but watch out for a lack of attention from certain servers as Bailey did nothing but take our order and essentially abondon the table in addition to not offering a printed bill but when reviewed on handheld had incorrect items charged. First time in years that I felt the need to lower the tip due to poor service. Hopefully management starts paying attention to customer satisfaction. All this is unfortunate as the menu and food is absolutely perfect!!

   Anytime your glass is literally overflowing with ice, you know they're trying to cut corners...3 sips, and it was gone! Our server had no knowledge of what he was serving. It took 15 minutes to get a drink (restaurant was slow), food was slow, and not impressed with quality.glass door to outside was dirty and had tape all over it. The kitchen would not add items to dinner, such as an egg with noodles. Asked for a fork, and here we go again with a 10 minute wait, so went to the kitchen to get forks. The table wasn't set and had to borrow soy sauce from adjacent table. Ambiance was a 0. Overrated and will never return. Fire the bartender and tell the kitchen to get a clue.

   We’ve been to this location a couple of times and the one on Maui multiple times(we live there). This was the worse experience we’ve ever had at Sansei. My wife and I both felt as though the server was on something (drugs). Inattentive, forgetful, mumbled, and took forever when the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. Took her 25 minutes to take our order. Had to ask for water. Had to ask for wasabi (really, we ordered sushi!). Had to ask for silverware for our 4 year old. Asked for my wife’s beer which still wasn’t at the table after our food had arrived and 8-10 minutes later she came back and said they didn’t have that beer. She ruined a perfectly decent dinner.

   This is the first time going to Sensei’s in Waikiki. We were seated in the patio area. The weather was great and we were able to enjoy the sunset. We ordered the Rainbow, scallop, and tempura rolls, they were fresh and delicious. In addition, they have a selection of Japanese sake on tap, we tried some Junmai sake it was delicious and had a smooth finish. The service was exceptional and professional.

   The food was fresh, delicious and intelligently prepared. Prices were very reasonable considering it was downtown Waikiki. Our server was attentive but not interfering. Great evening.

   Inside Out Spicy Tuna Roll was excellent. The small plate Misoyaki Chicken was delicious and a large enough portion to have as an entree.

   Always wanted to try this restaurant but will not be back. Thanksgiving the restaurant was empty maybe 4 tables filled but we were seated in a terrible table by the service station when there were many nicer tables. Lighting was terrible could hardly read the menu. Waiter was nice took our drink order. A little while later we ordered appetizers and our main meal. We received our first appetizer but still no drinks yet. When the busboy brought my dinner, I mentioned the drinks and his response was he doesn't know about that (the right response would have been I'll check with your waiter or the bar). Not to mention getting my dinner before the second appetizer. Food was just okay nothing special. I did read not so good review but always like to try it for myself. I actually could write more but will stop now.

    Poor service. Were there over two hours didn’t get our first appetizer until an hour in. Restaurant was half empty. Tried to upsale us from a $50 bottle of wine to a $110 bottle. Food was good there but not worth the price they charge
