   Good Italian in the Grove! Excellent for seafood. Nice reasonable wine selection and prices. We sat on the back area which was quieter. Service was prompt and food came quickly but we felt a bit rushed in order to get another table in which is not the true Italian way. I would return!

   Group of 5 ate indoors with nautical cozy vibes. Service was friendly and attentive. Food choices were plenty and appealing. Food was delicious with starters of calamari and carpaccio. Main dishes of agnolotti al fico pasta with fig in a cream cheese sauce struck a nice balance between sweet and savory and tagliatelle della nonna made with sweet peas and tiny meatballs was great. The salmone alle erba with a pesto basil was very good.

The food is simply incomparable—every dish is a masterpiece bursting with authentic flavors that transport you straight to Italy. From the freshest seafood to the most perfectly crafted pasta, every bite is an experience to savor. But what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. The staff is incredibly kind, sweet, and attentive, making you feel like a VIP every time you walk through the door.    We really enjoyed our lunch at Sapore. It was recommended to us by a family member. The food was very high quality and the service was excellent.

   Used to be great service and authentic italian food. We loved taking our friends there. Seems they are dropping the ball on training their service staff. Waits at the front/host stand, waiting too long for service, to get the check and to pay. Food was still delicious, but the experience last time was not enjoyable. Have other friends in the neighborhood tell me something similar. I anticipate a downfall, particularly with Strada expanding, new Baia Blue and Like Mike around. I don’t think i’ll return.

   Judging from other reviews, we must have just caught them on a bad night. Manager was putting down more tables outside when waitstaff was clearly over extended already - our water wasn’t filled one time during the entire meal from appetizers to end of meal. No one checked on us one time. Food runner put down the food. Had one of the specials of the night - a pasta with ricotta and lemon and shrimp. Shrimp cooked fine but pasta was almost inedible. Tons of lemon rind made it way too overpowering - and I like lemon. Didn’t want to wait to eat dessert - we already had to have them box up a course because it was taking way too long. Clearly kitchen was overextended as well.
