   We had a wonderful dinner at Saranello’s. We were seated immediately with our OpenTable reservations. Our server Mike B was very attentive, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. We all enjoyed the food and in particular I enjoyed the braised beef short rib. One of the managers Dan stopped by to say hello and check on our satisfaction with the food and service. Our entire party of 4 expressed satisfaction all the way around. We will definitely be dining at Saranello’s in the near future.

   The food was great as usual. The problem was that all but one person in our party of 6 received our food. They said it would be a few minutes but after 15 minutes with one person no food and one almost done with their food, I called the manager over to complain. He went to the kitchen at the same time the food arrived. The manager came back and apologized for the issue and said that late meal will be comped.

   Had an issue when checking in. No one was at the host station when we walked in, but a large group of employees near the kitchen standing around talking. Finally about 3 1/2 minutes later the hostess arrived. I gave her my name and she didn’t have the reservation and I said well it’s made through OpenTable and I got a confirmation. She said she could still seat us, but then I said, I won’t get my OpenTable points because it won’t be tied to that reservation. She then said “well we just use OpenTable to do our reservations. You’ll need to take that up with them. “ Very dismissive. There was a woman in back of us. Also waiting to check in who said oh I’m through OpenTable as well, and she couldn’t find hers either. Then she gave her her first name, and she said oh yes, it’s right here. So I tried the same and she said oh yes, it’s right here. I’m not quite sure what the problem was. I even spelled my last name. It was not the best way to start a brunch experience. Food was good as usual, but definitely the varieties have been cut back in the last several years. Still very enjoyable and we will be back despite the hiccup at the Host station. .

   A terrible experience. Service was slow. Had a table right on top of us. We were already seated and about to be served and they put a table of 16 smashed in right on top of us. Servers and customers kept bumping into my chair. Salmon was not cooked enough..left half on my plate. Someone else at our table ordered chicken parm but wanted the chicken pan seared and not fired. He got 3 very small cutlets ( looked like a tv dinner portion). Embarrassing. I think Lettuce Entertain U forgot they are in the hospitality business. I stopped going here 5 years ago and just gave it another shot. Needless to say we wont be back.

   We had a party of four on a Thursday night and the restaurant was mostly empty except for a large birthday party in a semi private area. Our server Carla was very attentive with checking up on us occasionally to see if we needed anything. She was also attentive in refilling the water glasses. The taste and temperature of the food was excellent. We were quite full after our main meal and kindly declined dessert. Overall it was a great experience and dinner.

    I took a group of 15 to this brunch two weeks before Christmas. It was so good that I decided to go back for New Year’s Day brunch. It was disappointing. Our table was across from the front door so ever time the door open a large gust of cold air blew across us. The brunch selections were less. They were slow to replenish food, waiting unlit you were scraping the bowls or platter to get items. I had to ask three different times for spoons. No cups or soup spoons for the chowder. No spoons for the dessert table. If there were omelets or eggs Benedict available they were keeping it a secret. Staff was very responsive to a request but a manager present why did I have to tell them there were no spoons for soup and no soup spoons to eat your soup. The carving station was out of the gravy for the beef. Empty bowl of mustard sauce for the ham. The major of the food was quite tasty. The cupcakes on the dessert buffet were stale. Given the cost was the same as it was four weeks ago I was very disappointed with today’s meal.
