Scalini Fedeli was opened by chef-owner Michael Cetrulo in 1995 and very quickly became New Jersey's highest rated Italian restaurant. Rated excellent by the New York Times in 1996 and New Jersey's favorite restaurant in Zagat's Survey in 2001 and New Jersey Monthly's best Italian and top 25 overall in 2007. Highlights from the menu include soft egg yolk raviolo with black truffle butter, pignoli crusted salmon with artichoke and mint agnolotti in a light tomato and basil broth and braised short ribs of beef with a cherry pepper and port glaze. Set in an historic building built in 1740, the atmosphere is slightly formal with Tuscan style vaulted ceilings finished with Venetian plaster. Tapestry and antique mirrors adorn the walls.

Food was average price fixed ! Service was terrible, they brought check in middle of our desert with out even asking if we are done or need any thing else , no one bothered to asked if we want tea or coffee , dinner was so rushed that we where out in 55 min !

Scalini is the best Italian restaurant in New Jersey. We loved everything that we had, but most important was the staffs friendliness and attention to detail, as they made us feel welcome! Thank you for a great night !

The BEST special dinner spot in the area. A high end dinning experience! The Executive Chef and Cooks showcase their creativity and technique, each dish was a work of art. The attentive staff provided impeccable service. Our waiter, Dan, delivered an incredible experience! Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!!!

This was a fantastic dining experience at one of our favorite restaurants in New Jersey. We’ve been coming for 20+ years, the dining room is beautiful , with a gorgeous European vaulted ceiling , the food and service are always exceptional.
