First poor experience at one of our go to “special” event restaurants. Front of house staff appeared overwhelmed and menu was very uninspiring. Our server did a good job of making a poor experience good.

Had reservation. Showed up 15 minutes early, had to wait 15 minutes after reservation to be seated. Service was slow, one dish was cold. They offered something else, didn’t take them up on that offer. Mother’s Day did not turn out well good luck !!

We were there for our 50th wedding anniversary, we could not have picked a better place. Respect for our occasion, service, pace of the meal and quality were all superb.

Our waiter was very polite and helpful. Can’t beat the view of the river and the food was fantastic. Rain or shine, this is a great place to dine. Plus, you can always do a little shopping before or after your meal.

We have eaten at Simon Pierce restaurant many times over the past five or six years. My daughter-in-law is Ukrainian and does not come to New Hampshire unless we have dinner at Simon Pierce at least once during her stay. That being said our dinner today minus my daughter-in-law was up to the usual standards Which are high. We were a party of six and had a wonderful waiter who although busy with many tables gave us excellent service. I think his name was Tim. I hope I got that right My dinner was not so wonderful. It was a new dish and was vegetarian. It was white shaved asparagus, with some other concoction on the plate that was nondescript, except if I had the menu there and I had to label, I would know, but for all practical purposes, I could not tell what it was. The asparagus was flavorless and tough. Highly disappointing. I shared my sister’s fish, which was outstanding and tasted my husband‘s lamb, which was mouthwatering. I did not return the dish to my server with complaint. But I waited till the end of the meal and when we were checking out, I did express my opinion to the manager. With appropriate suggestions for the dish. He was especially grateful since others had complained of it also Of course he made it good and we will be back and I expect that the dish will be somewhat different than next time. The menu verbiage is somewhat difficult for the average diner. If you don’t know what you’re getting ask your server. They are glad to explain. We will be back so bon appétit

We’re usually huge fans of Simon Pearce and dine fairly frequently. Last evening, however, the whole experience was off. Our waitress attended to us way too much, which sounds like a funny thing to say, but she constantly interrupted our conversation with a nervous, running narration of what she was doing or going to do, such as: I’ll be bringing you your water, I’ll be bringing more water, I’ll be bringing your bread, I’ll bring you some bread, I’ll go get your drinks, here are your drinks, your food should be ready soon, I’ll go get your food, all separate unsolicited and unnecessary interruptions so she became a bit of a fixture at our table, always kind, but WAY too much. Not attentive so much as intrusive. When the food came, the lamb was unseasoned and had little taste. It was cooked well. The elements on the plate were delicious, and the sauce was nice, but the lamb itself was unfinished and bland. The chicken dish was okay—the white asparagus dish was not warm, though the flavors were fine. For that price point, we’ve come to expect a better experience and we’ve gotten it every other time. Having said that, we were on the tenth day of a massive storm and given the extensive water damage Simon Pearce experienced in 2023, it’s quite possible nerves ran high as the river was rising and the waterfall was violently churning. We love Simon Pearce but for the price point, do expect better quality food and less intrusive service.

Tha view was spectacular, the service was excellent & the menu choices were sublime. I had the spinach h & strawberry salad & the encrusted cod. Both were very well prepared, and delicious. Great location, quiet restaurant, home blown glassware for drinks. We c keep coming back for amazing meals!

We LOVE eating here! The food is always delicious and it’s in such a uniquely beautiful setting Wait staff always lovely. There is enough variety on the tantalizing menu to please most people. Try to get a seat by the window overlooking the river.
