In 2009, we became Oxford’s neighborhood restaurant and living room. The brain child of Award-Winning Chef, John Currence, Snackbar is a Southern Brasserie that prides itself on using local Mississippi ingredients whenever possible. We are your place for the freshest raw oysters from around the country, artfully crafted cocktails, and fine internationally-inspired food cultivated by 2019 James Beard ‘Best Chef: South’, Vishwesh Bhatt.     Great vibe, good food, although somewhat pricey for the quantity. It always kinda galls me when they charge for bread. They should at least offer one piece complimentary. Drinks are pricey also.

    Snackbar is, by far, the best restaurant in Oxford and is on our list of the best places we’ve been in the last few years. Stellar service (especially Johnny—an Oxford treasure), amazing bar program, and extraordinary food. Can’t say enough about it.

    We had a Grouper special with a coconut curry sauce.While tasty the dish did seem to lack an additional component to complete the serving.And at $42 it was a tad pricey for a restaurant located in a North Mississippi strip mall.The specials at Snackbar are unprecedented on the menu.

    We had an amazing dinner. We made reservations and our table was ready shortly after we arrived. Everyone at our table ordered something different and no one was disappointed. Delicious.
